The app works great, however I’d love to be able to have the video play with the Picture in Picture (PIP) so I can watch my baby and use my phone for other tasks. As it is, the phone can only be used as a baby monitor while watching it.

The notifications suddenly stopped working. I tried a different device. Tried a different camera and rung apple support. Reset, made a new log in everything possible to no avail. I contacted app support who said as I purchased it 26 months ago they can not help me. It is the app part that is not working. I need to get notifications if my toddler is crying bad I can’t hear her downstairs and they do not want to help. Even with the new camera / new login the notifications are not working. Bad customer service.

This is an awesome product for what I needed the app itself is easy to h d’état and and was super easy to setup. I have one issue that the app shuts off the video after an extended rubbing time and I was hoping to get some answers to fix this. Cheers

not good for privacy

While it does what I need it to do, one massive annoyance is the fact that I get 4-6 notifications each time my device starts and finishes. One is more than enough, or perhaps a second a minute or two later.

The whole point of a camera is to save the footage… Smarterhome app has worked for my kettle and door lock, but not for my new camera. It did save a couple of days worth of footage for the first weeks but now in the playback section there is a message “no playback video for that day” and when you click on the date there is no data available. I am GUTTED that I spent hundreds to buy and install this and it doesn’t work and NOONE Kogan or Dick Smith will help me. Terrible terrible customer service - I wish I hadn’t ignored the comments warning of bad customer service, as now I’m in the same boat. SmarterHome has helped us a lot! Also at a much more reasonable price than alternatives. Firstly I wanted a ‘smart’ heater I could better control temperature and time with. The Kogan heater has been great. I followed this with a bunch of smart power monitoring plugs which have helped us understand our power usage and debates with landlord. Finally they’ve also been great to control a not so intelligent dehumidifier and LED grow light. The only negative is we’ve had the occasional ‘glitch’ with a random switch turning off for no apparent reason - but quite minor really, given good price.

I now have 27 devices connected to my wifi including phones and iPads. This app controls 13 of them. Lights, curtains and garage door. The easy to set scenarios are great to close curtains at a set time before dusk etc. Timers are also very easy to set and use. I hope that one day the app will interface with apples Siri.

Give app a refresh new layout and add more features to the carmera like if it can send n record 10 sec video as a motion alert then the photo Thanks
