La La Learn - Mandarin Chinese

I know the onerous job to translate things from one language to another, especially songs, and this Developer did it beautifully and the interface is easy to use and delightful. Thanks for this great product!!

This app has both traditional songs that my parents recognize like "Liang Zhi Lao Hu (Two Tigers)" from their childhood and songs set to western melodies like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". I've paid 4x the price for singing books that contain half the (same) songs! It's a perfect bridge for kids to learn while still being relatable. Although I don't know all the characters, the pinyin helps me fake it until I can practice in "karaoke mode" without the voice track. We especially love the songs about animals!

This is totally the ideal app to teach kids mandarin using songs, especially if you (the parent) isn’t a native mandarin speaker in the first place! Highly recommended!

With this app, my kids are learning chinese songs and vocabulary, my husband is learning proper pronunciation and vocabulary, and I’m learning reading. This has been helpful for our entire family of varying levels of chinese skills. The kids won’t put it down either, which is great as I consider it “educational screen time” :)

I love that this app clearly lets you follow the lyrics and look up individual characters within popular mandarin kids songs. It’s only available in Traditional Mandarin, which works for us! You can turn the music on or off. For $5, it’s a steal (parents who want their kids to learn Chinese know it’s a drop in the bucket!). Here’s hoping this app explodes so we can see more songs added!

Very well made app that’s perfect for kids (or even adults!) learning Chinese. Highlights the Chinese characters while the words are being sung. Has pinying and English translation to help with pronunciation and comprehension. Great app! My 4 year old who doesn’t know any Chinese yet listened to all the songs and loves it.

I have a lot of Mandarin learning apps for my kids and very few are as intuitive as this one. I like that pinyin is available as well as the English translations. The first 2 songs are free but unlocking the rest of the songs is very reasonable.
