No longer in business but still charging credit cards
I was also unable to cancel my subscription and they kept charging me despite no longer sending totes. I couldn’t get a hold of anyone so I had to start submitting disputes to my credit card company to have their charges reversed.
Remove the app - company is not operating
Updating my review. If you check the website, it's not functioning as of mid-February. I stopped getting charged and I can no longer access my account, as if it's been cancelled. Please remove the app so people can't inadvertently sign up - is that possible?
Here's my original review from Feb:
I've been a customer for years. They were fine for a long time. All of a sudden the company has gone dark. Their phone and chat bot don't work, nobody responds to email. I put my account on hold and returned my tote, I still get charged every month even though my tote was registered as being picked up at the other end. I followed the instructions to cancel my account but you can't because there's nobody at the company to respond. I lodged a compliant with the FTC and BBB as have many others. They stopped responding to the BBB a year ago. Now I have to dispute the charge on my credit card every month because I can't successfully cancel or even put my account back on hold. The bank can't block them because technically they are a legitimate business. Do not sign up.
Don’t do it
I am having to have my credit card company help fight my charges. There is absolutely no way to reach Le Tote. Their website is offline. Their phone number is invalid. Anyone getting charged, go to your credit card company and try and fight as many charges as you can. Apple needs to remove them from this platform.
BEWARE of this scam
Like all the other reviews have stated, they will never respond to anything and won’t let you cancel. They will keep charging your card. You’ll have to file a claim with your credit card company. Absolutely infuriating. Somehow they still are operational enough to send customers clothes (mediocre clothes) but everything else is not operational. Is this company bankrupt?? No clue what is happening. Whatever you do, do NOT sign up and do NOT give this company your credit card. You will never be able to cancel and they will just keep charging you $100 every month. You have been warned.
Skip versus Cancel
Looks like the system is trying to force the customers that cannot get their cancellation through to take a TOTE. I’ve tried for over a year to cancel, so until it cancels I have been “skipping a month”. I hate they make this so hard!
I miss the old Le Tote
Le Tote is not what it used to be. There are delays in shipping, there are delays is updating the next box and the help center doesn’t work. I use to love it, now it’s more of a pain.
Charging customers who have paused accounts and now not responding
I have been pausing my account during the pandemic and suddenly it will not let me pause and has started charging but I have received nothing. Customer service emails are not responded to and I have filed a claim with my credit card. When you click through now to reach them it says they no longer use the service for customer care! Clearly they are closed or bankrupt and customers are getting short end of the stick.
Business shut down without customer communication
Le Tote was bought out and still has their app running. Le Tote do not have customer service and will not return an email. Le Tote do not have a working phone number. Le tote cannot confirm that they’ve closed an account.
Company is Crumbling
App is not working correctly and company has stopped providing any service. They are stealing money from members. There is no way to cancel your subscription other than canceling your credit card.
Customer Service
It’s impossible to have someone from customer service return a message. There is no phone number or email that I can find easily and it’s been weeks with unanswered requests. Also the features inside the app don’t work. I can’t delay my plan there either. This was a great platform until a few months ago.
