Do not buy this equipment. It does not work most of the time. The last straw was when my family and I came back from vacation, both front and back door locks would not response to anything. Not the key cards, not the app and not the phone. My family was locked out in the cold and we had to break Into our own house. Garbage product and software.

Just set a password that works on your web page but not in your iOS app. Sucky, aren’t you. Update: still cannot access app with the password that works on the web browser. No wonder the reviews are below 2.5, this developer is incompetent.

I’ve been locked out of the house twice because the app doesn’t alert you when the smart lock battery is critically low. Once the battery is that low, phone and card key will not work— you have to use the physical key. The first time it happened, I didn’t have the physical key on me, just my phone and card key. I had to call a locksmith and pay an expensive fee to unlock it. And like the other reviewer mentioned, the battery status is buried in the app menu.

It used to work like a charm (unlocked the door several times from Europe for visitors), and since a recent upgrade you have to be a few feet away. Changed the battery and that didn’t help either. Very disappointing

Like another reviewer said, this would be a solid 5 stars if the app (read close contact) successfully locked ants unlocked the door. My daughter, when trying it out got a lot battery warning. It was only installed about 36 hours earlier. The battery is fine. She finally got it to unlock, but through the app not by close contact. Your concept is awesome, your implementation is just a little lacking.

The recent update runs 5hrs in the background in 24 hours period. This is absolutely unacceptable. Especially I am one of those early adopters who were left behind without matter support.

The response time post the update is fantastic. Works perfectly with my Apple mini. My kids love it too.

The lock fails to unlock , I have to stand in front of the lock wait like a minute before it unlocks by itself. But it you close the door it locks right away . I have the WiFi connect right next to it and still doesn’t unlock . I only had it for two weeks and I’m getting errors of a week battery . I check the status of the battery and it says it’s healthy . It’s a great idea but I will be returning this . Also why is it that the app doesn’t give you notifications on your phone to let you know if the door locked or if the battery is low . Other apps do that but this app doesn’t. I thought this was a company created by Apple engineers.

We switched from the bulky but functional August lock to this. While it looks much better, it doesn’t work. We worked with support, changed the entire lock and it still doesn’t work 9 out of 10 attempts.
