There is actually no need for this app. At first I thought it was so I can listen to my movie with AirPods but it doesn’t even support the movie audio. The app developers should rethink the purpose of this app and contribute something meaningful to the App Store.
I was expecting to use my personal Bluetooth headset. The app successfully paired with the seat back but there was no audio. Supplied headset was so poor I gave up and just used my iPad.
The fact that the last update was a year ago is not a good sign. App kept crashing upon pairing with the seatback. The onboard screen I had was annoying to use and unresponsive so this might have helped depending on what it does if it actually would work and not crash. Useless app
App doesn’t work under any circumstances. Such complete trash they should delete it and start over from scratch n
Why?
It basically does nothing which cannot be easily done on the seat back screen. Disconnects frequently. Basically consistent with what all the other reviewers have said.
This app is emblematic of Lufthansa’s greater issue. Their main app and this entertainment nonsense app lags a decade behind other airlines. It is difficult to tell why they haven’t caught up. On the plane, itself, they have a large screen that only interfaces with a mono disposable headphone like its is 1970. I hope someone Lufthansa takes this issue to heart but it’s doubtful.
Like many other reviewers, I expected to be able to use my own headphones through this app. You can’t. This app adds no functionality and is just a less convenient way of navigating the exact same menu as is on the seat back display. The only media functionality is pausing or playing the media on the seat back and adjust the volume of the wired headphones, both of which are easier and more convenient to just do on the seat back display itself.
Opened when the flight was in the air. An error message advised that the app could not be used as I was not connected to the internet... The only in-flight wifi option was on a pay to use basis.
I have yet to be able to use this app to pair with the seat back monitor, which seems to be the apps main purpose. Are the developers paying attention? No one seems to be able to use this app.
