I knew I didn’t want anything connected to Amazon. When I found Libro, their mission and that I can also be supporting local independent book store. That’s a win win win. App is lovely, easy to use, and love the percentage of completion. Customer service was prompt when I requested a return. I am so happy to be doing my part.

So glad I found this. App works just like audible. Including subscriptions for monthly credits. Difference being it supports small bookstores instead of the multi billionaire Bezosw

This app pretty much has everything the other one has, but it also shares profits with the local bookstore of your choice, and it’s not owned by that company. The interface is good, and there are regular sales on audiobooks.

I am grateful for Libro.fm existing. I’m so glad I can listen to audiobooks but still support my local bookstore, and without supporting audible, which is owned by Amazon. Amazon, sadly, is undermining middle/working class with the crappy jobs and unethical business practices and running small businesses out of business. Convenience is not worth supporting something that undermines what I deeply value. And Libro.fm costs the same. High-quality. I love this app.

It is incredibly difficult to filter searches by authors with common names. I tried adding "quotation" marks around the author's name i wanted, but i still got tons of hits for other authors with similar names. I could not add an additional search term to look for within the results to slim down my hits. Thank you

What I love about this app is the opportunity to support a local bookstore in my neighbourhood! It’s such a rewarding feeling to know that my purchases directly benefit a community shop. Plus, if you’re an educator, this app shines! They offer a fantastic selection of books, at no charge, especially audiobooks, every month that are perfect for sharing with students or adults you’re teaching. I haven’t encountered any other audiobook service providing such a thoughtful and generous option. This app is my top pick, and I’ve been a loyal user for several years. Switched from Libby when I read how that company was taking advantage of libraries and couldn’t be happier. Great service and note that I can afford to buy books this is the way I prefer to do it.
