When I first open the app I had the option to choose between Indoor or Outdoor but after the first operation it failed, the Indoor option is no longer available.

Installed on an iPhone 4. Very easy to use, with clear readable graphics. I find it odd that measured Lux levels change significantly between 'indoor' and 'outdoor' settings (surely Lux is Lux, irrespective of your location?). I compared measured values side by side with professional light meter device, and found that the indoor setting was way off, but the outdoor setting was much more accurate (but still up to 30% out from time to time). I can't find any way of recalibration of the app which might have helped. I might still continue to use the app, but only as a rough guide when I don't have access to a professional light meter.

When I use the application,I need calibrate. This app is very useful in home and industry. it can stimulate real illuminometer and has high measurement accuracy.

I think this app is really convenient and great idea. It helps me completely measure light intensity. I'm really impressed with the way developer kept it pefect with nice design and highly effective performance. Thanks you

I just use a light meter for plants, and for that it's excellent. It need not be perfectly accurate for me, and it's great for comparing the available light under lights and in windows as the days get shorter and the sun gets weaker.

Have used many times and great for a quick measurement when you don’t need full field equipment.

My I phone has a front and back side camera. I have a screen protector on the face that affects the readings. I make sure I use the back side camera for most accurate results with this app. Can’t speak to accuracy compared to a standard. This app works great for my needs.

It’s totally possible that I’m using it wrong, but since there’s no instructions, I don’t know how else to do it. It seems pretty arbitrary, like I’ll hold it up to one spot and it will give me a light range from like 18 fcs to 2,000 fcs so idk.
