Lionel chief Bluetooth enabled trains don’t appear in the available engine screen
Not worth the free download.
Works ok, my legacy engine has a tendency to decide to go full power when a track defect happen from a derailment from other engine. The reset causes a disconnect but unless you are super quick engines come back doing more than they should. The should reset back to zero at power loss. Or better idea is use something better than Bluetooth!
I’ve been having issues with my Bluetooth for a couple of weeks and no update. Just bought a new engine that came without a remote and couldn’t run it because the app isn’t connecting to the train.
App took awhile to find the engine through Bluetooth. When connected to the engine the app froze and not able to get back to main screen. Would be nice the app also worked.
Takes forever to find the locomotive, then after clicking link the app freezes. True for both iPhone and iPad with iOS 16.2 on both devices. Have not had a successful connection on either. Still works on android so I know the hardware still works fine…
Last year, one engine, all was good. Added a second engine this year. I have successfully connected to each engine once, about 45 min apart. I cannot consistently connect to either engine. When I tap on the select engine screen, it blinks once and does not go to the next screen. On the rare occasion it goes to the next screen, neither engine shows up. I’ve never had both engines show up. All of my attempts to connect are with both controllers off and both engines are making the tone indicating the are looking for blue tooth. Distance is not an issue because I can connect to other devices further away. I’ve even deleted and reloaded the App on my phone. They s is very frustrating!
I mean, it’s Lionel of all companies- you can do so much better. If you can’t them don’t offer Bluetooth
The app gives no instructions or information whatsoever on how to connect the train to the app. The control layout is very messy anyways.
Why won’t it let me change my number for my train?
