And it's a bargain too
Such a great, stimulating journal. The app is pretty good, especially when you compare it to the NYRB one. Works very well and looks good.
The LRB
The LRB has sustained me for 42 years. First at home and then abroad. Currently marooned in Melbourne, Australia I rely on the online version. I miss spotting the paper version on the newsstands but I do have a digital subscription. I hope the journal is in good hands now thatMary-Kay has stood down. Good luck to the new editors. Wonderful write
LRB is a source of clear, succinct, informed writing. Not all articles are relevant to an Australian reader, but they are all worth reading. I look forward to every edition as do the friends with whom I share it,
A necessary antidote
In these turbulent and testing times in which the contest for ideas and thought seems often irreparably riven by its speed and shallow superficiality, the London Review of Books stands firm for depth, care, intelligence and a certain demanding standard. Thank goodness...

Invaluable
Constantly interesting and stimulating, written in stylish prose and providing insights not available elsewhere. Favourites: Marina Warner, Bee Wilson, Michael Hoffman, Andrew O’Hagen.
Food for brain , feast for a literature lover
London review of books , is , without doubt , one of the best literary magazines around. It Scholarship is amazing , writing charming and style too resistible. Providing fresh ideas and instigating curiosity are its trademarks , but I would add that it’s ability to educate masses , who otherwise could not afford so many books , cannot be overlooked . Only problem is its price, and being of scientific nature , I would like them to add more scientific reviews.
A well developed App
Agreed that the website and actual paper are better than an App, however with transit on packed trains/public transport an app is quite useful, and unlike the woeful Times Literary Supplement App this one actually works and you get to keep your purchases. The LRB is a quality publication, well written articles, the podcast is excellent as well.
Good for those on the move
The app lets one download copies of the LRB, and not much lease. There is no search capability, downloads are slow, and navigation a bit clunky. So as an app, it is not very good at all. But it is not really about the app, it is about off-line access to those copies one has chosen to download, and for that I am very grateful. If you travel (or commute) and read: get it. If you don't travel (or commute), the website is much better. If you don't read, it has little to offer.
