Longplay

This is exactly what I was looking for. Do you use streaming services (Apple Music) in order to build and have ease of access to a curated library of your favorite artists? This is it. Perfectly clean and minimal interface to listen to albums and playlists of your library. Nothing more, nothing less. No radio, no “for you”, no “prize winners”. Just your library. I just wish that there was an option for albums to expand on tap like in iTunes 12.8 album view, so you could pick an individual song. I heard about it on “upgrade” podcast, upgradies.

I don’t need to pay four dollars for an app that freezes and crashes. After all, we all always have Ventura to do that for us. This is an entire waste of money and time.

This is a great app for listening to albums. Scroll down a list of album covers (sortable in a variety of useful ways), tap on a cover to play the album, and you are done. It is easy to see many albums at once, and the arrangement of album covers is visually delightful without wasting any space. Apple’s built-in players have always been focused more on individual songs rather than albums, especially in more recent versions. Longplay puts albums first.

This is awesome! So much fun to see metrics on when and how much time spent listening to my 400+ albums! Well worth the price. I wish all the albums had release date auto filled in. It’d be nice to sort by that. Great app!

My previous review mentioned my concern that the app no longer works in tandem with Apple Music. The developer reached out to me and explained the app’s new features, and that you can swipe left to access the track list. Now there is no need to go into Apple Music at all. I agree this is a change for the better! Thanks!

Looks great, works well and gets me out of the constant shuffle of other music apps. Just what I wanted.

Easily the best money I’ve ever spent on a music app.

This app used to rock but now the widget, even after the latest update, still has problems showing the album artwork. It’s a shame because this app was one of my favorite apps. 😞

I had a problem initially setting up on an ipad (couldn’t see the album wall icon). I set it up on iphone and it works now on ipad too. Pilot error maybe. I dunno.
