Lumin

剛剛購買了此產品、但是用不到、手機屏幕和鏡頭沒有看到任何東西．一片漆黑、何來可以作老花眼鏡？何來有放大功能？我一心買來玩拍微距攝影的、但是現在什麼也用不到。是否我想錯了？是否我買錯了？。

While the idea of a magnifying glass is a very good one, the implementation is unfortunately rendering the app rather useless: You zoom in on a live camera view. The camera meanwhile focuses on the whole, unzoomed image and adjusts exposure accordingly. If you happen to want to see a part which is not in focus or which is not matching the average exposure, then you're out of luck. To do it right, focus/exposure should follow the zoom instead...

This is a great little app! It takes clear pictures magnified to a significant degree. Thank you to the developers!

Update 2-2020 I don’t what happened but it’s working again!!! Yayyy! Update 06-2019 Abandoned app, what a shame App takes photos and saves them to the tray in a bizarre order. That’s it. It’s all but dead, what a pity, abandoned app, no updates for years. Too bad. I used to use this all the time. Now I can’t save to my camera roll. 😭 can you please fix this? Update 10-2018 App saves photo to the the tray in an odd order. Definitely not in the order take. Very, very messed up. No longer uploads photos to Dropbox. New since iOS 12. PLEASE FIX THIS!

This works great. I can zoom enough to be able to apply eye makeup in somewhat less of my old crazy woman manner. None of the teens are giggling about my new not-Halloween look. 👵🏼

No longer works - save yourself the effort

This was a great app, a great idea, and I still use it often despite buggy behavior (saved images appear incorrectly). Hopefully it will rise from its ashes or I can find a replacement that is as helpful to me as this app has been.

I love Lumin and use it more than many other apps on my iPhone 7+. It is an elegant “magnifying glass” utility that does the job extremely well. Whenever I share an image I’ve captured, it invariably draws raves and I get asked how I took such an amazing close up. Please keep this wonderful utility updated and available. I dread the day when I upgrade my phone or OS and Lumin stops working. In fact I’m writing this review after thinking about how to support the developers and encouraging them to keep this app updated. Thank you again for creating such a useful application! Update: Lumin now shows “Failed with error - 11852 Cannot use Back Camera”. I haven’t used Lumin in a few months so am very sad that it has stopped working in iOS 12.3 on my iPhone 7+.

NO LONGER WORKS Does not work on iOS 12 or iPhone Xr. All that displays is a black screen. If you read the 1 star ratings, you can see many people have this complaint. Have used this program for years and it was on my favorite apps list. Does not look like it has been updated since 2014. The developer has had plenty of time to update this app, but has not done so. My conclusion is that it is an abandoned app.
