- Maybank customers:
(i) With M2U ID - simply log in with your M2U ID and all your M2U settings will be automatically synced with the MAE app.
(ii) Without M2U ID - register for one online on the Maybank2u website.
- Non-Maybank customers: skip the queue at the branch and sign up instantly with just your phone to enjoy all the benefits of a Maybank customer.
The MAE app will seek permission for the following:
i. Access to your camera to enable you to scan QR code and also upload documents when you apply for a new product or service.
ii. Access to your contact directory to give you the convenience of selecting your contacts when you make a transaction to a mobile number.
iii. Access to your location to offer you the most relevant food listings, marketing promotions or deals by our merchant partners while you are on the go.
iv. Access to your phone’s audio to enable you to make a direct call to the bank's hotline.
v. Access to your settings to enable push notifications to receive Secure2u alerts.

Hire new developers
Latest update is not working on ios 13
They disabled multi account login
The previous version of MAE app is able to login 2 accounts and run transactions without requiring 2 devices but now they disabled it. It forces me to logout the first account and remove the data only i can login to second account. What a bs
Homepage totally cant be pressed (only the bottom part is functional)
The homepage is locked and cannot be touched. Please resolve it as Secure2u cant be pressed as well.
Can’t take IC photo
I can’t take my ic photo smoothly It occurred “something went wrong” when I’m going to take photos. What can I do?
Transfer limit reach and cannot transfer to own tabung
As far I know tabung does need any money transaction because it in your own account, why are this apps consider it as transfer limit reach when there is no reduction own account instead of spending, I am totally disappointed with MAE now, years before this I would say the best online banking apps but now, it's becoming the worst of all banking apps, please fix this issues

Always getting hacked and password attempted by others
This app is so unstable. My credit card has been used for unauthorized transac. Very unreliable security by maybank. Not once but twice. And u cannot even linked new card with your MAE account, it is either you delete the app and go thru registration all over again or you will be frustrated not knowing what is happening. Hopefully MBB can improve. It is 2024 already, everything is moving forward with digital yet the security of a simple app like this seems to be going backward.
MAE only provide IBG transfer???
I wanted to transfer money (for emergency purpose) from MAE to another bank during weekend and its only allow GIRO/IBG. I’ve done exploring another way to do fund transfer but can't find it in this apps. In this critical situation your apps serve like this??? Poor service 👎
Negative reviews
The app download is too slow, and the service is also slow. Sometimes it gets stuck. Sometimes you have to quit the app and join again to pay.
