Will not renew my Mailwasher pro subscription. I purchase it expecting it to work on my iPhone as well as it works on my pc. Most of my email is obtained on iPhone. Mail washer Pro works great on my pc but kind of useless on iPhone or iPad.
Mailwasher’s desktop version does a great job of filtering out spam and is definitely worth the money. The app doesn’t measure up in that it doesn’t import the settings/filters from the desktop and doesn’t handle sub folders (I have Hotmail send mail by default from unknown senders to a junk folder, which Mailwasher desktop does its best work). Sorry, this app doesn’t even try to replace the pc program and isn’t worth downloading.
Can’t get off the ground w MW Over and over I enter my correct Gmail pw and get the error msg for incorrect settings & select IMAP over POP3 What gives
The Desktop app is VERY Windows XP’ish. How do I know? I have used the Desktop version since Widows XP and it has not seemed to change, if any since then, but at least it still functions well. THIS app in both the Apple and Android versions…DOES NOT WORK! I have tried both the IMAP & POP3, and though the settings are the same as the Desktop version, THIS DOES NOT WORK. FIX THIS PLEASE, OR GET IT OUT OF THE STORE!
App crashes continously
Mobile App does NOT have any useful features, manual or otherwise to help screen spam email. Only allows you to manually delete unwanted emails received in INBOX. Best choice is to use the Desktp App that has both manual and dynamic features to help automate the process to screen spam email.
I have tried common settings and it refuses to even connect via IMAP or POP3… GRRRR!
Would not recognize my email credentials. When attempting to register was told my email already existed!!
The only email address that the app would even accept was either the Live.com address or just the first one added, never did determine. It absolutely would not add any further email accounts, even though the IMAP or pop3 settings were double verified to be correct. It kept giving an error message indicating a client’s server error, but it really seemed to be the app’s problem. It’s always easier to blame the other guy, rather than just fix your own issues. The desktop version of this app works great!
I use the desktop version of MailWasher. It does a good job of learning what is spam and stopping it. This does none of that. All it has is a trash can to delete mail from the server. What a disappointment. The developers should offer subscribers like me a version that has the desktop functionality. I would also suggest storing the app configuration (accounts, blocked sender, learning, etc.) in the cloud so that both desktop and mobile versions can leverage and update it. I hope that app development reads this and realizes that they need to make these changes before some other product does so and lowers their market share.
