They ask you to send in a cash deposit without a clear process for return of that deposit in the case that you don’t win/purchase anything. This deposit isn’t apart of the registration process either, so it leaves the potential bidder waiting for approval that never comes. Honestly, seems scammy when asking for deposits for access to bidding and no clear return for that transaction in the case you don’t buy anything.

Registered to bid over a week ago. They supposed send me approval email and never did. No communication.

I won a bid for a vehicle then was contacted by Tom from Maltz who stated that the bank would not accept my winning bid. Never heard of this before. He then stated that there was a counter offer from the bank for an additional $1300 and if I don’t accept the car would be returned to auction and the contract void. At that point I decided to make my own counter offer which Tom said was presented to the bank and rejected. It was either I take the new price requested by the bank or the contract be canceled and the vehicle returned to auction. Maltz required me to pay and addition $1300 to complete the transaction.
