After the latest update the button to enter the map so an area can be selected to mow or engage manual mowing mode is gone.
I just got this thing. If the Bluetooth is going to be this finicky, then I’ll have no choice but to return it. What a dumb issue to have. I resorted to mapping really small areas and adding to them but it’s just not working well enough to use.
I have to go out and park the Luba 2 robot nearly every time it mows. It starts heading back to the charging station and then it stops and often turns off. Turning it back on manually is required. Tonight it stopped and turned off three feet from the base station with 14% charge left on the battery. And almost every time i try to steer it, it makes me reboot my phone before bluetooth will work. The mower does a good job, except when it just stops and powers down. Hopefully these are all just software issues that will improve over time.
The new update is kind of weird. When you start the mower, it automatically selects every area you have mapped. It can't possibly mow that much at once in a single charge. It would be much better to not have anything selected and then pick which area you want instead of deselecting all areas and then picking the one you want. The area names should also be editable. I have no idea where Area 3 (or 5, or whatever) is. I have to zoom in on the map to pick the area to mow because none of the names are meaningfully distinguishable from one another. The app must be force quit a lot to resolve connection issues. If it says that it lost the Bluetooth connection to the mower, there is a Reconnect button you can push, but it never works. The connection attempt will time out and then present the button again. Force quitting the app and restarting it reestablishes the connection like magic. One thing that I think I'm sick of more than anything though is being forced to log back in to the app and re-accept the privacy policy for the millionth time. I just don't understand why there isn't some long lived token or refresh tokens. It's weird. There is also sort of an overuse of dialogs and prompts for things that are unnecessary. Like when you tap on an area to start a new task, there is a confirmation dialog that asks if you want to go to the area selection page. The answer is always yes. It is never no. The dialog does not provide value. Tapping the icon to return to the charging station asks you if you want to return to the charging station. The answer is always yes. It is never no. It would be better to offer an action to bail out of returning to the charging station instead of asking first every time. When you end a job for some reason, it will show you the full task history for the mower. I guess that's alright, but I doubt that anybody ever really says "oh, I am going to read this whole thing since I just ended a job because (it's raining/we have to leave/don't have time/etc). Having the report is valuable, but being shown the report like this is not. You should be able to read the report if you want to. Otherwise when ending a task, it should just go back into a state that is ready to start a new task. We are all grateful for the notifications that were introduced last year, but work needs to be done here too. There is no reason to get a push notification that you started a task when you are looking directly at the app 0.2s after you pushed the button t
The new version of the app has caused WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity to be almost unusable. Bluetooth connection is awful. This was never an issue before. Luba is connected to WiFi but the app can no longer connect to it. The interface is clunky and doesn’t remember settings. The manual mowing feature is now completely useless as the height and speed reset every-time bluetooth disconnects…which is so often that I finally gave up on it and pulled out the gas mower. This used to work amazing. Things are going backward…

Could someone please confirm if this has been tested with manual mode? I've encountered some challenges that are becoming quite frustrating. For instance, the mower cannot adjust its cutting height unless it is in motion, and once it begins, it sometimes stops unexpectedly and reverts to the default height setting, requiring a restart. Additionally, in auto mode, every section of the lawn is automatically selected, necessitating manual deselection for customization, which involves excessive clicking. I'm also unable to find the option to change the cutting angle, a feature I relied on in the previous version for cutting at 45 or 90 degrees. It seems this feature has been removed, which sometimes forces me to revert to using my traditional lawnmower. Moreover, every mowing session starts with a warning about the inaugural mowing height and resets to a higher setting, which is not necessary for my location as our mowing season begins in March. Could we consider reverting to the previous version of the app, or at least restoring some of these essential features to enhance usability? Thank you for addressing these concerns.
Very slow app after the update.
Intermittent Bluetooth connection problems when mapping since last update - delayed reaction or complete disconnection. Tried to submit feedback via app itself but it fails at around 39%-59% mark. No lawn art option as advertised. No ability to set restricted hours - how does Luba “see” at night and why mow if it cannot see? Why no IR vision?
