Is it possible to update the user interface of the app?
All resolution options are grayed out in my MAMP Pro General tab, so I can’t enable this. No explanation, no documentation for this issue.
Not working
Just can’t understand how the MAMP PRO Mac OS app works so well and the iOS viewer has never worked in all the years I have created and uploaded multiple websites. A total waste of time and effort!
Ki and the i
Apparently this works well for MAMP PRO paying customers. It does not work for MAMP. MAMP sites are located in the ‘Applications/MAMP/htdocs’ folder. The MAMP PRO sites are located in the ‘(Username)/Sites/localhost/‘ folder. Which means there isn’t a way to use the app for the free version. The ‘upgrade’ to version 6 also appears to disable the ability to view localhost on mobile devices, requiring the paid MAMP PRO and the app. This used to be so useful. Also, support is minimal.
The locally hosted site fails to load and shows an error whose text is truncated and unreadable.
Only way to keep this working is never let your iPad go to sleep. If it does, the page will not reload. The only way to fix is to restart MAMP on the Mac and restart MAMP viewer.
Got localhost running the default html doc on Apache to run, but not working on my custom hosts running Wordpress sites on Nginx. Where’s the tutorial video on YouTube that walks through this set up process? I found one you guys made that’s 5 years old, but it’s not helping.
It’s not working with WordPress (too many redirects error) and their online documentation states that it’s possible it won’t work with WordPress but doesn’t provide any actual advice on how to possibly fix the issues. MAMP itself is working great on my computer luckily tho...guess I will just stick to chrome dev tools.
