MealBoard - Meal Planner

Very useful app, easy to add recipe, good idea about pantry and shopping list. But fix a bug pls-if I have at pantry 1 tomato, and for recipe I need 3 tomato, shopping list should include just 2 tomato, not 3

Very good application. One improvement: it will be good to look through receipts by categories when choosing meal plan for a week.

I downloaded this after reading reviews that ticked all the boxes. Unfortunately the app doesn’t sync the ingredients like it says it should so if I add the same recipe to my meal plan twice it doesn’t correlate the ingredients on the shopping like - meaning I’ll have the same ingredient listed several times. I tried to contact support about this but got no response whatsoever. Not sure if that’s just a premium feature but I don’t want to upgrade to premium until I know for sure it’ll work.

I really like this app. I had been looking for something that connects my shopping list and pantry as well as lets me meal plan. It takes a few days/ week to set up but once you have put all the information into the app it works so well. One improvement I would like to see is being able to save multiple pictures to a recipe as you can only save 1 picture per recipe at the moment. Great app!

MealBoard App Review This app is a really useful tool for anyone looking to begin or streamline their meal planning process. These are the features I like: 1. Import Recipes and Nutrition Information: The app allows you to import recipes, along with their ingredients and macronutrient information, directly from a URL. You can also manually add or scan paper recipes but it’s easier to find and import a similar recipe online and then tweak it. 2. Set Recipe Reminders: you can set reminders linked to each recipe, such as defrosting mince for spaghetti Bol the evening before. 3. Use recipe bank to create weekly meal plan: MealBoard makes it easy to create and save weekly meal plans from your imported recipes. 4. Shopping List Export: The app can export meal plan ingredients into a shopping list based on the recipe ingredients. 5. Calendar Integration: you can export meal plans to a shared calendar. This means my husband (who shares the cooking) can see what is to be cooked that day. 6. Value for Money: most of the features are free but after a certain number of recipes are imported you need to pay. This is a one off payment and a very reasonable amount, I was happy to pay it after realising the benefits of the app. 7. Pantry: you can create a ‘pantry’ list of in-stock foods, including use-by dates, which are automatically crossed off when used in recipes. It is not completely perfect eg the shopping list will categorise onion/white onion/half a chopped onion as 3 different things, but it’s obvious they’re all ‘onion’ and still makes doing the shopping list 100 times easier. I’d love it if you could click through to the recipe from the calendar entry that day. The pantry vs ‘used in a recipe’ feature is a bit hit and miss, I don’t rely on this though, it’s just an added bonus to the excellent meal planning/shopping list functions that I wanted. Overall, MealBoard has significantly reduced the mental burden associated with meal planning.

Loving this app to plan meals for my family and childminded children. Meals are assigned to specific dates and easy to move around. Easy to import recipes from online as well as add own or adapt the ones imported as needed. It creates a handy shopping list. Tried several similar apps before settling on this one. Does everything I need from a meal planner.

Does exactly what it says. A good honest app.
