Who was the genius who thought of a subscription model for old mobile games, why ruin it

How gross and how desperate. Halfbrick used to be one of the good ones. Now just as money hungry as everyone else. Never again.

Look, I understand you wanna make the bag, but just make a version with ads, please. I don’t wanna pay for a game that used to be free when I was a kid. In fact, I could pull out my old iPod right now and play it, still have the game and the iPod is working. Developers, don’t be scummy. Just make a version with ads and don’t shove a subscription down our throats. If you wanna push your subscription, I’d say either make two versions, one paid with no ads and one with ads, or just make new games to put under your subscription. We already have enough coming out of our wallets, we don’t need mobiles games added.

it used to be a free game why is there a paywall now?

This game is a fun time killer but asking for a 5 dollar a month subscription to play it is too much... I'd be happy to give a few dollars with a one time purchase to just own the game but I'm not gomna be paying 5 dollars a month for this game... I guess I'll just play the one hour free trial they give you

This used to be the best free to play game back then. Stupid developers trying to scam money by making sure all player pay to play the game. Good luck

The thought about playing Mega jump recently popped into my head as I played it a lot as a kid and wanted to relive some of that. I see on the App Store they’re re-releasing it soon under “half brick+” I figure cool, they might remaster it or just re-release it for modern iPhones. But they did what every modern company for some reason has decided to do, take a well known and beloved game and put a paywall in front of it for absolutely no reason other than monetary gain. Severely disappointed to see that now I have to pay for a game I played as a kid for free because……. They feel like it…?

I LOVED this game it was my childhood and I’m so happy it’s back but WHY you guys gotta hide it behind a paywall 😭😭 make it freeee pls 🙏
