Хочу сказать спасибо разработчикам за приложение. На данный момент, это единственная программа корректно работающая с IPTC из тех, что мне удалось найти для iOS 11. Большая просьба, добавьте поле Event в IPTC, для фотографов оно очень необходимо. И хочу задать вопрос. Почему, после внесения изменений и сохранения с настройками качества по максимуму, размер файла меняется в меньшую сторону?

Вместо перезаписи одних метаданных предлагает переписать сам файл или дублирует его с добавленными метаданными. Как расширение для встроенной photo app вообще не работает. Добавляешь локацию, а кнопка "сохранить" не активна. Идея хорошая, но толку пока никакого.

I am photojournalist by profession and I was scouting for an iPad app that could conveniently edit the IPTC fields of a photograph after the death of Photogene⁴ post IOS 11 update. I needed an app with which I could write caption and add multiple other data into the IPTC Information into an image. I found the MetaGear App as a friendly alternative for editing the Metadata (only), that apart I'm continuing to use other image editing app to carry out photo editing. Great job MetaGear App Developer(s), I hope the functionality improvement continues with newer and more user friendly features get added in the future updates. I wish and hope that this app comes close to the desktop app Photo Mechanic which by far is the most user friendly app for photojournalists.

When I’m shooting I have to caption my photos using IPTC standards. Much of that is repetitive, the same information over and over. This isn’t saving that information to the preset (a template, basically), it’s only saving a couple of fields. It could have been exactly what I’ve been waiting for but it’s coming up very short.

What I miss is being able to search on meta data. For example finding all pictures within a date range or certain location. Since I have a lot of old imported pictures in my iCloud I would like to find all pictures that have empty fields in date and/or location to be able to add data to the pictures. Another way to add that functionality would be to go from apple’s pictures app and be able to multi edit a selection of pictures. Please add either so I can add metadata to my old imported pictures. (I have way too many to just scroll and look for them)

This is really disingenuous for an $8 app to say you can "add tags" without mentioning that only a specific list of tags can be added. I need to add the "projection" tag, the GoPro max/fusion 360 cams all fail to add that tag to still photos exported from the GoPro iOS app, and other apps can't display them as 360 spherical without the tag "projection=equirectangular".

Need to view and edit IPTC metadata? This is the app. Last time I checked it is the only app offering IPTC editing. Several nice features (batch, resize, saved) Does not handle IPTC Extended, PLUS, or other enhanced metadata fields. Why Adobe did not include metadata tools in Lightroom for iPad Pro is beyond me—greatful that this app is here to help.

After a year of using Metagear, I’d love to pay for a Pro version unlock that allows you to handle files outside of the Camera Roll/Photos App. More image apps are using the Files App for storage and file manipulation since iOS 12 & 13z

I especially use the batch process in scanning old slides.
