Great app, with issues
I will update this review once current issues are fixed - when it’s working, great. But there are several bugs, which can be worked around, but they shouldn’t exist. Current build is broke on windows machines so unable to use.
Looks great
I've only just bought this so still learning its potential but it looks really promising. One thought that would be really great (if it's possible) would be buttons which Look like a piano keyboard and map the appropriate input keys for apps like Dorico.
App has serious potential but….
Review edited….. I had to change my review on this app. After spending a week really learning what this app does I’m actually blown away. I originally gave this app 2 stars which tbh was really unfair. I give 4 stars instead of 5 cause I’d personally like to see more windows intergration and there are some minor problems. Amazing app.
Invaluable Tool
Metagrid Pro improves in every way from the first version. It’s so well thought out and such a huge time saver in my workflow that I can’t imagine working without it. The new grid system is so fast to work with and far more powerful now, reducing the need to change grids frequently. The price is unbeatable too!
Fantastic app and developer
This app is everything it says and more. I use it for Cubase and it really does help simplify tasks and speedup workflow. You can create custom buttons or use what is given. Even just a few custom buttons makes this app worthwhile, and at the price, its a no brainer. I was able to connect to my wired PC while using the app on my ipad wirelessly. You can get incredibly complex with this app, but with that, does come a learning curve. But it is not too difficult. Highly recommended. Plus, the developer is very responsive and listens to all suggestions and issues and responds quickly.
Fantastic!
I absolutely love this app! I use it to control Cubase and it's made my workflow significantly more efficient and streamlined. As one who is not super techy, I very much appreciate the fact that I don't have to scour through the depths of the Cubase files to set it all up. It just works. The MIDI and DAW Setup Guide is ENORMOUSLY helpful. I would've had a very difficult time setting up MetaGrid without it. MetaGrid is 100% worth every penny!
Very solid app, recommended.
I’ve been using this for a couple of months. I use it as a shortcut keyboard for Bentley Microstation. And it’s super useful. I appreciate the way you can switch scenes. I do find that I have to restart the MetaGrid server and then kick out and restart the app when I set up in the morning. I’m connecting through usb because I’m on a vpn, so the wireless connection doesn’t seem to be an option. I’m on windows 10 on the computer. Still it’s a useful product, and I’m setting up other applications in it. I was considering buying a function keyboard, but this has filled the need.
