Metrobus: Sussex, Surrey, Kent

There is a technical glitch in the App that makes it impossible to enter a password in the sign up page. You can type your email but when you move to the password area, clicking in the box does not bring up a keyboard but switches to some sort of “Strong Password” notice. This is without typing anything. And it’s impossible to remove this notice and get the blank Password box again. I had to back out of sign up altogether and try again. Tried 5 times and gave up.

I've used this app since it was introduced and it works well enough in certain circumstances - but it now has serious flaws that Metrobus has known about for months and done nothing about. The key one is the 'mirage' bus, one that is actually being reported purely from the timetable but appears to be from real time. This manifestation can often be exposed by looking at the map associated with the bus - but, infuriatingly, not always. The second, rarer but if anything more annoying, is the bus which is shown as continuing to its destination but in fact is being taken out of service as it arrives at your stop. Beware of Crawley Bus Station on that one. Both of these happened to me recently : two 100s arriving at Crawley Bus Station in succession as per the real time info - only to be taken out of service, and at a nearby stop a mirage 20 bus followed by another 20 minutes later which blinked in and out of real time - but it in fact was real. Apps have bugs now and again. What matters is how quickly the publisher fixes them. On that, Metrobus scores a one * only.

Considering it’s come all the way from Horsham before reaching North Holmwood, the 93 has amazing timekeeping of +/- 4mins. Friendly drivers too

As reported previously, it is extremely annoying/frustrating that when using a page for a particular route - then making various choices on a timetable for example - the two / from route direction repeatedly reverts to the default app choice. Eg ‘to Redhill’ keeps jumping back to ‘Hurst Green’ with no input from the user

It’s good but it’s rarely correct also buses are never there when there supposed to be my son has to get on at 7:10 but it just doesn’t come and then it will come at like 7:30 useless

If you click on the stop it tells you what buses will depart from that stop. It adapts to any delays and you can even check where the bus is on its route to you. What else do you need? I have found it really good and useful.

This is the best real time bus app I have ever had, it’s simple and easy to use and accurate, well done team for producing such a good application, iPhone user.

Have used this to book tickets a couple of times but why is it when you beed it most and are about to board a bus it will not load the ticket info really frustrating!!!
