I cant beleive i payed for this app. There is so many things to improve i'll try to keep this short; the main view of the daily weather breakdown should be the most important thing you want to see. The mean average for today yes, but then the option to see the hourly forcast for that day then the following days. You have all the options on your site, instead of wasting valuable screen space for the video and radar section you then show hourly forecast for the following day ONLY?! Makes no sense. And in a country with such terrible mobile data limits you put videos as a priority. This baffles me, ppl want this data on the go, so why waste it with video and image content instead optimise this for actual mobile use. The Ui is very confusing, to get any more indepth info is like trying to crack a code. You have this info why not make it easily available. Wind bouys would be great to see, mountain forecasts. Who is your target audience that actually wants a functional app? Metservice, this appears to be an app just made just for apps sake. If it was designed well you would have somthing wonderful nzders would actually use. I payed for this expecting somthing more. I dont pay to use ur website & it provides more than this.

Don’t recommend. The 1st page is always an ad, but usually the app gets stuck on the ad & won’t let you move past it so it’s unusable. Even when you can, luckily, move past the ad, the next page is half taken up by another ad. When it works, the app is useful, however. These problems has been the case for years! I have emailed them about this bug & the insult to our attention that the ads are and received a response suggesting nothing will change.

Love the detail and widgets. Please make an ad free version. Please consider Apple Watch version. Even just a widget. Again paid version could help fund it.

UPDATE: I still see ads on the app I paid for. This is T H E F T. REFUND THE PEOPLE THIS INSTANT. How dare ye government steal. As a Citizen of New Zealand I am hereby ordering you to remove the ads! Met Service is owned by the tax payer!!!!!!! ___________________________ Infested with ads even for customers who purchased the ad free version. Had i chucked my investment into Bitcoin instead I’d be a millionaire. Unsure why the ads take up so much of my interface? I Its rude. Also why aren’t ads shown in the sample pictures on the App Store seeing as advertisements are such an important part of your app. I would say “I’m not mad I’m disappointed” but I’m actually both.

Why are my tax dollars putting adds in this app? Poor design and compulsory add viewing.

It seems that there are big chunks of NZ you can’t even search for. The ‘Commute’ forecast is a joke. The menu is unhelpful (try looking for rain radar). And non- NZ apps like Windy and Predict Wind appear more accurate

I decided to give the app another go after giving up on earlier versions. The latest definitely has come with some improvements. I find the home screen widget really helpful and a great link to more info. Only wish we could buy an ad free versions

One of many who ‘updates’ their App to supposedly ‘upgrade’, which actually renders them useless! Another one bites the dust! Had to put one star to submit but ranks zero from me. Bye bye

Never loads forecast for more than your actual location so what’s the point? Buggy waste of space, taxpayers are getting what for their money?

A government-funded department with a weather app full of crappy ads? I will stick with the add-free Apple weather app which is usually more accurate than this one anyway.
