BACK-STORY:
Burning Man is a giant festival of experimental arts and culture. After attending for a good decade, it's taught me so much. It's an eye-opening experience of cutting-edge art, technology and cultural experimentation!
Burning Man encourages everyone to participate fully in the event, for a maximal experience. However, I witnessed that people sometimes needed a helping idea to get them started. Thus I created a Mission Me Machine and brought it back to Burning Man with me.
The Mission Me Machine is an interactive art sculpture that dispenses MISSIONS for people to take-on. It was designed to promote playful social contact, self-discovery, and artistic adventure! The Mission Me Machine has since travelled to a variety of art festivals along the west coast. Wherever it goes, it delights people by giving them fun and eclectic quests to accomplish!
So I decided it was time to create a digital version of the Mission Me Machine, so that everyone with a mobile phone could play and be inspired in their everyday life!
That's the origin story of this strange and wonderful app Mission Me!

Creative and challenging
Based on a Burning Man art piece, this app gives creative suggestions for things to do to get outside your comfort zone in safe and fun ways.
Fun game of creativity and self-reflection
Downloaded this game because it was recommended to me by a friend. It’s well developed, and a really fun idea. It gives you a lot of freedom to play as much as you want by allowing you to take new missions often and sets a timer for completing them; it also offers creative ways to check in with the app and reflect on the experience of completing the missions. These reports are a surprisingly effective vehicle for self-reflection and growth. I especially like how mission reports are saved for later review. As an rpg junkie, I kind of like the leveling up mechanism. This app is a great way to encourage a little more fun in your life, and I look forward to expanded missions and other ways this app might grow.
App is for people who have an open mind and ready to hit their goals.
Been “plating” around on this app and it’s very interesting. I like the idea of doing random activists or listening to educational podcasts. This is for motivated people or people who want to get motivated... point is ITS FOR EVERYONE!

This game is awesome, it helps me be more social and have more fun doing things I wouldn’t normally do. Love it!
