Didn’t realise that content only meant videos and photos, I thought we’d get articles and blogs etc. too - removed pretty quickly

I like this when it was Stumbleupon. I didn’t realise it was still going strong as Mix. Great fun and free

A lovely app with some spectacular photos of nature and animals. Really enjoying this.

Users need to be allowed to report bad tags and suggest better ones

A LOT of the pages have “unknown error” messages on them. I was told it was my vpn so I disabled that and it didn’t make any difference. My wife is also having the same error messages and the authors don’t seem to know why.. Shame as it seems a really interesting app..

I’ve read reviews this is the replacement for StumbleUpon which allowed you to discover fascinating new websites on your interests. Wonderfully educational and amusing spending on your chosen topics. All this app does is give you random images or GIFS which are as useful as a discharged phone. So if your interest is science, on your result you might get an image of a sciency object. So what use is that? If you wanted images you just use a search engine.

I tried Mix a fair while back when it first replaced StumbleUpon and really didn’t get on with it. I’ve redownloaded it to give it another go with a fresh perspective and actually, it has improved. Is it better? Yes. Is it great in its own right? Not really. My main issue is that I’m not really sure what to do with it. What was appealing about SU was that it was brilliant at throwing up underrated gems. Articles and art work and really unusual stuff that you didn’t come across elsewhere. Mix is a bit too saturated with content that I can already find on other platforms: memes, Twitter screenshots and Reddit-style fluff. Although there are some interesting articles floating about, to be fair. It’s just lost its main attraction for me, which was its niche content.
