It was fun for a while
So when it came out, I was hyped, I do love the monster hunter series.
It was basically a free Pokémon-Go like game where you could hunt monsters. Pretty much feels like Pokemon Go crossover with Monster Hunter Word. Plenty of weapons, and the combat is alright.
Aaand after half a year, they had to add Battlepass system.
It is in every free to play game, and I do understand that a company needs to make money, but battlepass systems are one of my most hated things.
Thank you for fun, I’ll stay with Monster Hunter on PC.
Healing
I would easily give MHW a 5 star. (I’ve been playing Monster Hunter since the first game on PS2) But I think that the healing mechanics in this game is so stupid. You can only get 5 potions a day, which is like nothing, since you need 2 to heal to 100 health. You can buy potions in the store for real money.🙃🙃 that’s a big downgrade for this game that if you want to hunt a lot you just can’t because of healing. (Btw you can only start a hunt if you at least have 30hp) Capcom is really hungry for money with this game😢😢
Poor connection and lagg
While it does have some of the charm of Monster Hunter, it is dragged down by the constant connection issues. Every battle is disrupted by the game losing connection once or twice, or completely stops, but the countdown doesn’t.
Boring and wonky
The game is just about constant mindless grinding.
Fights are lame as well, dodgeing is even worse, since most of the time the game just ignores input resulting an instant death on harder enemies.
Getting boring real fast
Killing same few beast days after days.
The quest are boring, similar all the time:
Kill x monsters, kill x big monsters, kill with x weapons, collect x thing…
6 month and this game can shut down as the others like HP, Ghost busters, etc…
