I don’t not understand this

I love how you get to eat the candies and I get better at math every time I play it, it is a awesome game.

This app seems awesome, but it wont let me actually do the math. The game lets me grab the candies, but doesn’t let me do the math. It just shows me what it equals. For example, lets say I grab a candy that says, “1+4” I don’t get to solve the problem but it will show me, “1 + 4= 5.” At first I just thought this was a beginner example to show how to play, but it keeps doing this as I go on, please fix this.

Listen I am a kid but it fine for kids like me but it okay if you are in thrird grade .
