Irritating quirk
Generally a very slick app, and good interest rates, but the app has an irritating issue - which none of my other finance apps do - in that it only allows you to be logged into one device at a time. If I log in on my iPad, I have to approve the new device on my iPhone, however I then get logged out on my phone and the next time I want to use the app on my phone I have to approve a new device on my iPad, which then gets logged out, and so on, with the app starting from fresh each time (eg. approving notifications, a “new device” alert email). It’s very annoying, please fix it. The members Net Worth feature is also a little sketchy; for banks or investment services that don’t offer Open Banking support you have to enter your login details for that bank into a Monument hosted login screen, which they then use to log in to that account to scrape the data and get your balances. Sharing bank login details with anyone, giving full account access rather than the limited scopes provided by Open Banking, however secure they claim it to be, makes me a little nervous…
