MouseBait is a simple tool to simulate mouse movement, avoiding screensavers / lockscreens that are triggered by inactivity.
Uses:
- Working with dual machines (one reference, one development)
- Long work calls requiring reference to screen
- Online voice / video training with no user input
- Long data-crunching operations that requires active screen
- Constant availability for remote workers and telecommuters.
**Logitech Mice with Darkfield technology (invisible laser) do not work*
Features:
- Adjustable deactivation stable timer / system / always on
- Adjustable control surface parameters (gap, size, speed, movement, orientation)
- Adjustable backlight (restores original on exit)
- Compatibility with most iOS devices
- Totally free (no iAP, no ads)

Doesn't work
Don't waste your time on what appears to be a student project for some 100 level university course
Doesn’t work…
I tried various combinations of settings but never got the app to move my cursor at all. System still went to sleep. Also lowers screen brightness during use and doesn’t reset the level after exiting the app. Great concept but fails in execution.
Works for me!
I have a wired optical mouse with a red laser and this worked perfectly the second I put my mouse on it! No complaints.

It’s hard to see but it is moving my wireless mouse.

Adjusted settings and it does nothing. My laptop still times out and the screensaver comes on. Worthless
