Decent start, could use a little work (respectfully)
Firstly, nicely low profile, allows full customization of each course (ie can create a 'front 9'/'back 9' as separate courses, just have to input the par scoring and you're off), and seems to work fine some of the time. Secondly, apple watch integration is great, but does bear some of the same challenges as the app itself. If it loses phone connection, you may lose your whole round etc. Opportunities for improvement - Scores are added by tapping the box.. 3 taps on 'score' and then 2 taps on 'putts' leads to a 5. Great, however, if you're walking and scoring, and you tap 4 times by accident, you cant undo it? Same with putts. You have to 'cancel' the round and re-enter your scores. - On several occasions, I've had my scores all input correctly, hit 'save' and it just.. shuffles my score. One hole now shows a zero or one, and the hole after seems to have gotten a combined score? And once you save in that state, you can't edit it. Tapping a hole just causes a different 'score' box to blink, but nothing updates. But again, since you can only +1 a score, you would be sort of stuck anyway. - Theres also no way to retrieve a forgotten password that i found (short of emailing the dev - not going to bother you with that, dude). Recommendations: - stop requiring a login. its not necessary, and feels little.. suspicious. or at least have a way to recover a password. - fix the saving/editing bug (this was on a 9 hole round ("course") not sure if that matters here), either one of these by itself wouldn't be terrible, but having them both is frustrating. - maybe allow to dive into a specific hole in 'edit' mode (maybe by tapping the hole #), and there add a +/- button for shots and putts. - maybe implement some sort of autosave/resync for when the watch loses connection. Fix or add those, and I would happily pay $1-$2 for this app!
