my mango

Developed need to look into scan off issue. Have been using it for nearly a week with my friend and we both can’t successfully scan off when we leave the bus. Not every bus driver will wait us so at the end, we need to pay double of fare.

They have finally fixed the problem of the app. logging you out at random and being unable to get in again. However, the latest complication is that it it is in a bad mood it brings up your credit card rather than letting you pay via Mango. Trent Barton are very good at refunding any additional charges, but you have to phone them up. And it’s not much fun being thrown off a bus because the app has broken. They suggest various solutions: 12 open the app in the house on Wi-Fi for a few minutes before leaving the house. Another is to open the app for 30 seconds before the bus arrives, which requires a certain amount of prescience . Finally, they say turn the NFC off which would be fine if you could do that on modern iPhones. None of these work. So two days out of three it works fine but on the third day it will be a nuisance.

I have the same problem as other reviewers on here— every time I try to pay with the app it opens my bank card and charges the fare to that instead. The app developer has informed everyone that they should disable the express pay in Apple Pay, which I have done, but the problem still persists. Unless this is fixed, I will not travel on Trent Barton buses if I have the choice. I also have a credit on my Mango account which I cannot use unless the developers come up with a solution, or I get in touch with the company to request a refund. The Mango app is a good idea, but is poorly executed. I am really disappointed.

This is all I’m getting for the last week , I’ve asked a few bus drivers and they say it’s an on going problem may be your phone but other bus and train apps work so having to use different routes to destination and it was a good app when it is working.

I use the mango app everyday on the bus to get to school as I have no card and low on cash. But I always get anxious whenever getting on the bus with mango as it’s not always reliable. I could have it loaded up and as soon as I step on the bus, there’s a white screen or it randomly reloads and reminds you at the last minute you’ve ran out of money. The amount of times my mango app has failed and I’ve had to come to school late because the bus driver wouldn’t let me on. Luckily sometimes when my mango malfunctions the bus driver understands and let’s me on anyways (sometimes not always) because according to them it happens frequently?? If your bus drivers are concerned about the reliability of the app, then maybe there’s something you need to change instead of saying it’s something wrong with our phones. There’s been many days where I’ve talked to other mango users on the bus and we all have issues on mango at the same time. If there’s a variety of phones and softwares, all different, it might not be our phone’s fault. Despite what your company makes up, it might be possible its something with the app? On a lighter note I think it’s such a good concept, as it’s quick and easier to get on the bus now without fumbling in your pocket for cash or card.

I been usin this thing for a good year nd a half now and have have 0 problems. like, once you load the app in the morning it works for the rest of the day no problem. i’ve had problems logging in but i’m stupid so that’s fine ygm? it’s simple and efficient, and cheaper than regular pay. also the mango joke was cos i put mango instead of many… get it now…? 👴

I’ve just downloaded this app I’m having problems when I scan the QR code on the bus. My Apple Pay keeps popping up. Not sure what’s happening. I phoned Apple they’ve told me something to do with the mango app. Not sure whether anybody else is at this problem

70% of the time the QR code does not work.

when i load the app all that shows is a white screen. i have messaged trent barton and mango but no one can offer me an answer that has helped. i have to pay the more expensive price on card and it is more expensive as the app caps payments per day and per month. wish they used a more reliable app!
