I tried to select seats for my family members But all the Standard seats cost $50.00 extra for each seat. We already selected seats when we booked for the trip. Why you (Korean airlines) canceled our previous seats selected and make us pay more money if we wanted to select ours seats. Why? NOW They want to charge us $50 each if we select seats. (including the last row on the airplane). We already paid extra for the seats when we booked the trip. Worst app. Filled out all info for 4 passengers. But when checked in they did have my pre-checked, passport information.

App crashes after a few seconds on iPhone 16 Pro using iOS 18.1.

One example, I needed to find out which terminal to go to at the Manila airport, and I had to click through half a dozen menus to eventually find it. Very frustrating.

Not sure if it’s intentional so the QR code can be read easier or a bug. The boarding pass page forces the phone to use 100% brightness and it’s extremely jarring and blinding to the eyes. I didn’t even know apps can force brightness of your phone…seems very intrusive.

I’m a frequent flier on KAL and I use this app for everything from purchasing the ticket to selecting seats to ordering special meals and even changing ticket dates. I find it informative and user-friendly. All my information is saved making it easy to book and check in for my flights. I did not feel this way when the app first launched, but over the years there have been many improvements and now I find it very convenient and helpful to use.

The app does not allow you to check in for flights operated by Korean Air that were booked as a codeshare on a partner airline (Delta). The app does not recognize the code share partner booking code even though the Korean Air website does (but their website is improperly formatted so that you cannot complete checkin on a mobile device since you can’t scroll to the bottom of the page to tap “I agree” where required).

If there’s a choice, I always prefer Korean Air. This app is one of the better airline apps. It’s not perfect, but way better than most and serves its purpose.

Doesnt render pages on iPhone SE (3rd gen) to enable check in. Cant agree to hazmat page. Also cant put boarding pass in wallet routinely on this model or iPhone 13. Very frustrating when on the road trying to check in. Also if you booked through Delta you get notified to check in but delta kicks you over to KAL, cant check in with delta app. Tedious pass through with no added value.
