MyNextbase Connect

One of the features I was looking forward to when buying the 622gw was the in app live view, especially when looking at reverse camera. However the live view shows just as a black screen with a record button. Disappointing. Other than that, the app seems to perform other functions sufficiently well.

Initially connected, then the app said to update firmware. After that, it wont connect anymore. Googled around and seems like this has been going on for years. Wow…

Every time I try to view the recording history, I find that the recording was not successfully saved.

I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting connections, turning Bluetooth on and off… the list goes on, and it still will not connect to my 522 GW. It keeps popping up a message saying “Device not connectable” no matter what I try. This app has always had issues, but usually starts working after turning things off and on a few times - now I’m just getting nothing. At this point I’m tempted to bin the camera and buy a different brand because this is unusable.

Extremely poor app functionality, which doesn’t even connect with your dash camera, literally useless to have this product.

Premium price point for “quality” dash cams and the product is useless without the promised apps that rarely work. I’ve had a 312GW and now a 622GW and I’m literally on the floor trying to get the apps to work again. You’re better off with an Ali express camera tbh.

Guys fix it please. All the times stuck and need to uninstall the app and then download it again.

Since the last update, the in app live view is no longer working, just black screen. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app, forget device and reconnected device both did not help.

The Nextbase app does not work anymore on iOS 16.3.1. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, switched my iPhone 14 Pro off and then on again, switched the camera off and on again. I’m met with a dark blue screen (the apps UI colour) and that is all. Fix this please! How can we use our dash cams if the app does not work?!

This is a shocker of an app with a large part of the home screen covered in a shop now advertisement for NEXTBASE products, underneath this is the setup Amazon Alexa banner (I choose not to use Alexa). This is an app I really just don’t want to use, the functionality of the app is hidden behind the advertising and the you must use Alexa banner. If I’d download the app first I would have purchased a dashcam from a competitor and not had to write this review. The dashcam has a setting to switch it to KPH in setup, however the recordings always play back in MPH. So every time you use the app to play back a recording you have to tap the MPH and only then does the display switch to KPH.
