Nanit Sound and Light

Honestly Nanit the amount of times i have connectivity problems with this machine is out of control. I will keep my language G rated but I am super unhappy sitting trying to get my baby asleep on 4th of July when your stupid sound machine loses connectivity and TURNS ITSELF OFF. And will not turn back on again!!! The fireworks are starting and now i have to resettle my baby. I’m honestly super super super annoyed and unhappy with this experience. The design of the app is amazing. I love the sounds, i just need it to work!

App has issues, rarely connects to the device when opening.

Would you like a cheap hunk of plastic that can’t work as a nightlight, sound machine or clock without WiFi connection and you downloading a terrible app? Throw it out, cut your losses, buy a regular $5 nightlight and $20 sound machine and be a lot happier. If this company isn’t dead in 5 years it’s because they’re using their app to sell as much of your data as possible.

I haven’t had any connection issues, which is the number one concern I had when buying this product. It emits a very bright light and can be turned very low. The app is beautifully designed and I love being able to control the light from my phone for late night nursing. I would love to see an Apple Watch app added so that it’s even easier for me at night. Thank you!!

The app rarely works when we need it to. We got this sound machine so that we can remotely control it. About 90% of the time we try to use the app, we get an error and an option to troubleshoot (which does nothing). A huge disappointment and waste of money. Would have went with a different sound machine if I knew how terrible the app was!

First off, why would it be a separate app on top of the Nanit app. How inconvenient. When using the app, the light takes quite some time to sync with the light. Using the buttons on the light, takes a while.

This app almost never connects to the machine. It’s super inconvenient when I’m nap trapped amongst other things. First world problem I guess haha. Love the sound, look, and light it gives off though!

The app continuously disconnects and I have to reset the device everytime I want to change the color or the sound. I have tried numerous things including reaching out to the Nanit support line without a response. Would not recommend this device or app.

I like the favorites and the light. The sound is high quality. The light can get very bright and vibrant. I like that it can be used as an audio monitor (this is the main differentiator since it also plays sound). Things I wish could be better: 1) a way to dim the clock numbers since they are VERY bright - there is no way we could have it in our master. 2) improve the audio monitoring which is still in “beta” - occasionally the listening mode will drop out and again this is really the key feature. 3) track the cry alerts like how the camera does - yes, there is a phone notification, but then you cannot see a history of alerts in the app which is helpful if you have a care giver. 4) implement a way to truly only have Amber or Red light since Blue light is bad for babies sleep pattern. 5) integrate it better with the camera app - having two apps is annoying. I guess you’ve made it so you can switch between the two but when you have a care giver… it’s just one more thing.

No ability to connect only with Bluetooth, account creation and sign in is just a waste of time, no conceivable value there. No integration with iOS password manager, cannot easily have partner connect to the Nanit because it’s tied to my device.
