We have been traveling some of the wonderful National Parks in California, Arizona and Utah in June - our first trip to the US and it was awesome! The NPS-App helped us a lot with planning, booking our campsites and learning about what to do and where to go. The offline-mode is a great plus because obviously some of the places lack cell-service. Alerts kept us informed about highway closures, high temperatures to be aware of and we learned that the fire in Sequoia when we arrived late in the evening was a prescribed burn so we won’t have to worry about. Everything in this app fits perfectly for us and I can only recommend to get it on your device (alongside the recreation.gov-App) before you pack up for your next adventure in the beautiful National Parks.

For two trips now this app has been a great help in planning the visits in National Parks. I like the front page navigation: „What to see“, „Things to do“, … . The answers provided gave different options, e. g. for a half-day visit, a full-day visit or extended stays. Useful. The ability to download everything and use offline has proven tremendously useful. Such a stress-relief when looking at information in a hotel with slow internet or in the middle of nowhere. There are a few points that could use polish to make the app even better, e. g. - the app does not allow copy-paste of snippets into one’s own travel documents - Please make „how to move around“ a front page category for direct access to questions like „Is this a park to move in the car between vistas? Or is it a park for hiking? Are there shuttles and how do they work?“ The answers are in the app, but I found looking for them often a bit tedious and confusing. - The order of search results behind the magnifying glass seems arbitrary. Intuitively I would expect e. g. that searching for „arches“ will put „Arches NP“ on top of the list of search results. I could not find a relevance ranking in the search results. But again. Great app. Well done. Thank you.

stops at ca. 40%, please fix

Maps and Download doesn‘t work for months now. App is nearly useless in the parks.

It is a cool app, but downloads are broken. Stopping at 40 % every time. Not usable without downloads…

Download of the parks doesn’t work. That is not good because we won’t have internet access at the parks.
