Navien Smart Plus

The setup process for this assumes that everything will go smoothly and look exactly as it does in the pictures. If it doesn’t, there is no way to skip the setup process or sidestep to get help. I have a Navien tankless water heater that is supposed to be compatible with this app, but there’s no apparent “Wi-Fi button” on it. Given that, the process for pairing it with the app must differ from the directions provided, but there’s no other guidance of any kind available. Please either tell me how to make this work or admit that I was misled about the water heater’s capabilities. If I’m going to have to tromp outside in the dark to manually reset “E003” every time I take a shower for the next 10 years, I’d rather not have the wound salted by false hope for a simpler solution. The boiler works fine but the app is bloody useless. Constantly says ‘offline’ when everything else is working fine. I hate this with so much venom I’ll warn anyone and everyone who says they’re getting a new boiler!!! Stay away from Navien

This app does not work so smart control of our central heating isn’t possible. It worked briefly but now the app says it’s offline even though the boiler control module says it’s connected to the wi-fi and the server, and is working correctly. Re-connecting the control module to the wi-if multiple times and deleting and reinstalling the app hasn’t resolved the issue. Based on all the negative reviews of this app Navien clearly have no intention of fixing this issue. I wish I’d seen these reviews before purchasing a Navien boiler.

Hi devs, Could you please implement summer time mode? Without summer time I have to adjust my programs to accommodate, which is quite troublesome. Kind regards

So much trouble with this app - boiler ok but needs an app that works, shouldn’t be that difficult 🙄

When changing times on app you get invalid information of times the on its own set the boiler on holiday. Also today frost protection changed so boiler on all night

Anyone else having issues with the app, I was having issues of having to refresh the app as it would automatically re-open to function. Then after this latest update the app has just stopped working?!? Come on, get it sorted please.

This app really lets everything down. I’ve got a very efficient brand new boiler and the app is awful to use. Each time you load up the app you must force close the app and restart it to view the thermostat or to change any settings. It has made us want to change the thermostat to google nest instead which we had and is ultimately miles better to use. Please fix it!

New boiler, lots of promises and hype about the phone app control and smart plus geo fencing etc. Turns out to be rubbish. It connects to my wifi but won’t connect to the internet. Would not be so bad if there was support and a solution but you’re left without any service solutions from Navien. Terrible, can’t recommend at all

I have to agree with all the other reviews on here. I had the old app and thermostat which worked perfectly well for years until it stopped working! I was told that the thermostat was faulty and the app was outdated and and that I could have the upgraded thermostat for no charge. Worst thing I ever did! This app is is almost useless 😡
