Naviki

So far I tried planning routes from web app and mobile app. I have to admit that designing a route from web app is simple click of a mouse even for a routes more than 200 km. Once the route is drown you can manualy adjust it which is also a simple mouse click. Then the route can be memorised and become imediately available for use on your smartphone. That part of functionality is really great! From mobile app I have tried EveryDay and Racing Bike modes. Within the town (Moscow, RU) I haven't found any significant differences. And for my surprise routes were not created over the dedicated cycling paths even when it was apparent. The things are getting worse once you're out of the city. For EveryDay mode I can accept that some parst of the routes go over unpaved roads or gravel paths, but Racing Bike mode for my opinion shall be strictly over paved roads. My last journey included with Racing Bike mode included gravel roads, forest paths and even very narrow paths along fields which are barely walkable. I had to carry my bike on myself sometimes. So I would want to be able to set whether my routes shall included paved roads, gravel roads or paths suited mostly for MTB only. Turn-by-turn Navigation is really great. I love to use it. The only issue is when Internet connection is slow, route recalculation can not be performed causing you to go on your own. That should be solved with the ability to have a map downloaded. In general I'm very happy with the app. With Naviki team all the best and waing for updates.

Worked so hard to make this work for me because it integrates with my sensors, has turn by turn, watch app… except it does not have USA bike paths. Neither the naviki.org site or the app is going to use USA bike paths when building a route. It can show them to you and highlight them, and you can try to forve a routing to use them but, for routing purposes it is just another road. You can try to build a route using point to point but it is too frustrating to use that way.

So, have been using the app for a week and change. Have done 20-30 mile runs. Pros: very clear directions, the maps are easy to read, and stays connected about 90% of the time. Cons: definitely has a few glitches. More than a hand full of times the application will send you down the wrong way of traffic. Today while riding the application fully dropped about 4-5 times on a 20 mile run. Over all I am pretty satisfied and would recommend it. Hopefully there will be some updates to iron out all the wrinkles.

The turn by turn does not give very accurate directions. Perhaps it will be useful for planning routes in advance but turn by turn is difficult to use. I have had better luck using the free Moovit app for voice directions.

This app is perfect for living in a gated community. Walking or riding my hybrid 7 speed bike is wonderful for this particular app. You really get all the data you need

Compared to every other navigation app which really doesn’t give navigation notifications on time for a biker, this app is perfect with its timing and routes. The best feature for me is you can say how long you want to bike and the app will create custom routes for you to bike along bike routes to make it safe. This app is incredibly underrated and is great.

Hey everyone , I did my first ride today, my trip today was roundtrip ! I choose for a trip from 50 km. That’s was great because you can manage your trip by km , it depend how much time you have for your ride ! The app send my back home 👏 . So no problem ! The app send me trough nice streets and places , always correct! I recommend option, sounds for your AirPods . Very easy if you have the watch the traffic . I saved my ride for today in the app ! So, am I happy about the app ? 👏😎 Maybe a little thing ... background music and a voice who say you how many km you already being biking every 15min !
