Perfect example of how not to build the app

The website forces you to install this app when you visit on your phone. Late fees are obscene given the technical troubles this app and website have. I tried to pay multiple times and ran into technical failures. Just don’t use the toll roads. Predatory.

This app is extremely confusing. I received a statement notice for $145. I go to pay where the account balance reflects $145 but payment options are so odd…I finally figure out how to pay against my credit card and now my account balance has doubled to $290. This makes no sense. Please do better. The replishment options are confusing…and making a payment against an account balance should never increase the account balance.

Two stars now instead of one since there is now an app option to dispute (the all too common) charges made in error. Much better than the previous setup where I had to call to speak with an inadequately trained rep, leading myself to ultimately give up and hang up after 30 unproductive minutes of being on hold and speaking to the rep, as that wasted time was not worth the refund I should have received. App remains terrible in most other functions. Almost if it was designed to scam a taxpayer out of even more money. Eg, I can open my garage door from the other side of the world on my phone, yet this system takes 15 minutes to activate a HOV request once it’s entered. Sheer incompetence and/or a scam on the part of the system’s designers.

That the state of NC has accepted this extremely cumbersome app shows bureaucracy at it’s absolute worst.

They stolen your money, I will cancel this because the charged with out my permission $920.00 for any reason this is the second time, I put in my app my credit card because when you not put the credit card or account the closed the account and you have to pay the replenishment, but you can not put you information they took a lot money of your account even your Account quick pass nc dont any due balance they took $800.00 or $920.00 then when you call they said that it was a error system but you have do a ticket claim an take 30 days for your money back, really! Now I have $1150.00 in this account for what reason? They took the money from my bank without my permission, Don’t use this This is a disguised assault, they take your money without your authorization, and they will overdraw your account.

The new app does not always submit your HOV declarations, so even if you follow the rules by having 3+ passengers and register your vehicle 15 minutes in advance, you may still be billed the rate as if you were a solo traveler. I’ve had this happen to me multiple times and have contacted NC Quick Pass via email, online form, and phone to dispute the fees. Each time the dispute has been denied without comment. On top of that, the claims take up to 30 days to review and you accrue additional fees during the review period. When I asked how I can confirm that my declaration from the app was received by NC Quick Pass to avoid future fees, the supervisor said she was not sure and suggested I no longer use the app and instead call to declare my status or purchase a different transponder and avoid using the app. I would avoid using this app unless you’re okay with late surprise bills.

Reset my password and username several times but just couldn’t sign in. Think this app should be deleted until their issues are resolved.

I followed the sign up process and it shows me there’s an error. Tried to reset the password and it shows me reset is success but when I tried to login, it says login invalid. Tried to pay directly there’s again another error. Holy this app is trash so it’s your website so is your database
