NDI HX Camera: Easy Streaming

First of all the app works: if you are in the same network you can receive an NDI stream in decent quality with a short but noticeable delay. Apart from this the app is very very basic and should be free. It is not worth the money. It seems like the app hasn’t received updates in 4 years. Things that are not offered - switching camera lens (only front and main back camera can be selected) - see the whole 16:9 video frame. The video feed always fills the screen (which is wider than 16:9 - I guess that was different when the app was developed…) - tally information - any camera settings except tap to focus and basic exposure compensation (no iso, no apature)

Leider gibt es keine Möglichkeit zwischen allen verbauten Kameras am iPhone zu wechseln. Dabei wäre gerade der Ultra-Weitwinkel für eine schnell aufgebaute Totale wirklich Gold wert! Allgemein wären fest einstellbare Werte für White-Balance, ISO, Shutter usw. ein wirklicher Mehrwert. Außerdem wäre es wünschenswert wenn man in der Vorschau auf iPhone X oder neuer auch tatsächlich das 16:9 sieht, welches per NDI übertragen wird. Die Kür wäre ein Knopf, welcher das Display des Telefons während laufender Übertragung abschaltet, damit es nicht permanent Energie verbraucht und/oder heiß wird. Für gute Ergebnisse empfehle ich einen Adapter am iPhone mit Netzwerk-Anschluss.

Ich finde es eine Unverschämtheit, dass sich in der Übertragung das NDI Wasserzeichen befindet. Dadurch ist die App unbrauchbar!!!

I've used the NDI HX Camera App for a long time now and the NDI workflow is simply amazing. But apart from NDI there are some functions that should be included. For example the (1) image stabilization which the apple camera app does, the (2) ability to switch between the normal and the ultra wide camera or (3) the ability of changing the frame-rate between 30 and 25 fps. Even the app is working properly I think there could be more functions regarding the high price point.

Leider funktioniert die App nicht. 20 EUR in den Sand gesetzt. Auf dem Windows pc bleibt der Kamera Stream schwarz. Mit einer anderen App (OBS Camera) geht es einwandfrei. Muss also an dieser App liegen.

Die Streaming Funktion funktioniert einwandfrei. 2 Dinge wären anzumerken. Ich hätte gerne gewusst, wie man das Wasserzeichen bei der Übertragung weg bekommt? Und als zusätzliches Feature wäre für 19,99€ die Ultraweitwinkelkamerafunktion super!

Cool App! Downloaded while it was for free. Used it a lot for voluntary streams. Unfortunately it does support only one camera. So no superwide or teleshots with the extra lenses on iPhone XS and later. I hope with NDI5 the app will be updated and the problem will be fixed. Therefor I only give three stars. This will be corrected as soon as more lenses are supported.

Latency is really low with NDI screen capture. But sadly on my iPad Pro 10.5” I only get an 1280x960px output. This is sad because native screen resolution is 2224x1668. Please add a full resolution output option.

It’s not working. Can’t do anything with it. Don’t buy it. There is much better free cams

Die App ist echt gut und funktioniert bisher immer und überall. Leider ist der Zoom seit dem letzten Update viel zu stark und im geringsten Zoomfaktor sieht es immer noch so aus als ob man am Smartphone klebt.
