So far, I am unable to locate the articles by Scott Vogel even though logged into my account. There needs to be a search box in which to enter his name.
The site address is not active/clickable. It should be an easy thing, when reading the online edition of the paper, to connect in one click to the desired information.
The only way to connect is to, apparently, go outside my own Newsday app, and log into my account via the web! That makes no sense. People who use the app don’t need to commit their log in information to memory. Therefore, in order to link to the information, a person, such as I, needs to get up, locate my “cheat book”, return to my desk, to link to what I am interested in.
Always Freezes
I only click on the app once a year or so now. Every time I tap on a story it says I reached my limit of 3 stories. Meanwhile, it’s been almost year since I came back. The app is flunky. I’m also not paying for it. There’s other news sources. I don’t need to know what’s going on in Bellmore that badly

Inundated with notifications
Under settings I chose to only get notifications for breaking news. It seems any story posted is considered breaking news to Newsday. I am inundated with notifications. And when there is actually breaking news, the banner usually cuts off the important info and when I click on it, there is an error loading the whole story in the app.

This app which has the Newsday logo and I assume owned or given permission by Newsday, lists the annual price as $150/yr. The actual cost is over $800/yr which they have been charging me for the last 2 years. The rep says that they are not affiliated with this app yet they used the CC and email address from this mobile app and they told me I was getting a 10% discount. The writers of the articles are actually from Newsday. Don’t subscribe, don’t buy!
