Not great
I downloaded the app and on first launch it showed a tutorial. A little unnecessary if you ask me, but the first sign of trouble was that some of the text in the tutorial was so long that it extended off the screen and was unreadable. With no way to scroll to the right I had to guess what the text said. After the tutorial it loaded an empty list that was full of NULL text. There are better ways to show things are loading that showing the word NULL everywhere. After it loaded the list and cleared the NULLs, I was able to find my vehicle, or at least what I think is my vehicle. The LEAF car was easy to find, but it when it showed the list of models the pictures all looked the same and the descriptions weren’t intuitive enough for me to figure out the difference. Finally, I just guessed and downloaded a guide. There was an annoying message and download screen next. Fine. Okay, so the guide. There’s an augmented reality feature, and some videos. None of the videos play and the augmented feature requires you to be in the car to use. It would be nice if the AR could just show the interior of a virtual car instead. Now, this is partly on me for not looking at the screenshots in the App Store, but it took me a week to find the actual guide. All the actual helpful information is under the Assistance section with a warning triangle. I thought this was for breakdown assistance so I never tapped it. It was also confusing that the bottom navigation bar appears only in guides and not in the app as a whole. This is counter to how all other apps implement the nav bar. Last quirks: Sometimes when navigating around, the bottom buttons in the navigation bar shift down and become difficult to press because they’re under the home bar. Or text overlaps in the top left when switching apps. Each time I download a guide it asks for the language when it could just use the device language or let me set it once at the start. The app doesn’t let you swipe from the left side to navigate back a level. This is something apps have had since iOS 7 for about 10 years now. Overall, a rocky app that is unintuitive but seems to have helpful information.
