The latest upgrade of one of the first note taking apps designed specifically for the Apple iPad and now also available for the Apple iPhone, Note Taker HD has long been known as a powerful and stable application for writing and organizing handwritten notes and diagrams.
Note Taker HD can also be used to annotate PDF files. It can shrink your writing so you can easily fit a lot of text on a page. You can read the reduced-size "ink" as if you had written those letters with a very fine pen. It gives you solid functionality and control to produce the pages you need.
Documents are flexibly organized by tags, date/time last modified, favorites, and more, with a scrolling list of thumbnail images of part of each page to help you find them later. You can email one or more pages as a single PDF file, "Open In" other apps, or, if your device supports it, print.
Note Taker HD lets you create pages by writing on the screen with your finger or an iPad/iPhone-compatible stylus. You can either write directly on the page for large drawings, or have the "ink" you write shrunk down. You can write in large letters on the screen rather than trying to make tiny motions like a pencil. You just keep writing and Note Taker HD automatically adds new writing next to the old. To quickly correct mistakes, it has multi-level undo and redo buttons as well as an eraser -- just drag your finger over the page to erase the "ink" under it.
You can zoom in and out on a page using the pinch gesture while viewing or editing. The Zoomed Editing window lets you see both a zoomed-out overview and a zoomed-in close-up writing area at the same time.
You can use "Open In" in other apps send PDF files to Note Taker HD for annotation.

Feature rich easy to learn GUI. Extensive help. PDF support.
I recently downloaded this app and used it to make notes to my PDF files. The zooming functionality was very useful. I could actually insert my comments on the margins. After finishing reading PDF's and taking notes I exported the annotated PDF's to GoodReader and synced them with SugarSync to my Mac.
I though that it might be useful to have Note Taker's and GoodReader's functionality in one application. That would be a perfect app!

Да приложение некрасивое НО если не поленитесь прочитаете инструкцию получите ултимативный инструмент ведения заметок. Тут есть режим укрупненного введения рукописного текста, что позволяет аккуратно и мелко делать пометки, тут есть набор стандартных форм и вам не составит труда сделать красивую и понятную таблицу, текст можно набирать обычной клавиатурой (доступны несколько шрифтов, достаточно распространенных)
Много чего есть в программке! а после создания красивой заметки ее нетрудно экспортировать в пдф. Но опять же не стоит лениться и почитать гайд=)

после обновления приложение стало намного стабильнее и интереснее, но все-равно вылетает...
Solid as a rock, year after year
I started using NoteTakerHD in 2010 on my iPad 2, entering data into my homegrown social work encounter form, imported as a .pdf and saved as a template. I chose NoteTakerHD because it was the only note taking app password protected and encrypted to HIPAA standard.
I have used this app every working day since, now installed on an iPad Pro 11 inch. Never a glitch. Stone cold reliable.
Other apps for taking notes may have more features, but I trust this only this one for my psychotherapy notes, all sensitive, health-protected documents.
Makes the iPad Great for Work
I turn to this app on a daily basis for my job. Whether for annotating my reviews on a PDF report, creating a flow diagram to help a group with developing a process, filling out a form for HR, or just using one of the many useful templates that come with the app, this helps me focus on getting my work done effectively. I have enjoyed using this for at least 10 years. I have tried a lot of other note-taking apps, but this one alone stands the test of time. The developers have my deepest gratitude; my iPad would not be useful to me without this app.

A great note taking app and easy to use
I take a lot of notes for work and used to fill different note books which I then would have to comb through to find what I needed. NoteTakerHD has allowed me to have all my notes in one place. It is easy or organize and find what I am looking for. It has lots of flexibility and the developer is quick to reply to questions.
Dependable, great app
I have been using this app for 8+ years now and I still love it so much. So easy to take neat, readable notes which I am personally incapable of doing on a physical paper. Every feature I have used has been very reliable and never buggy, which is truly amazing after so many years.

I've downloaded over 100 apps, and this is the app that is the most impressive. I originally got it to use for handwritten notes, but it is a phenomenal app for preparing typewritten notes too. I can add photos & shapes, align the items to look professional, change the background, make handwritten or typed comments, and then send it as a PDF to clients.
