we all know it sounded too good to be true. they don’t want to help, they want us to download the app and get paid by us or our insurance. Please save your time and seek help with your nutrition elsewhere.
They will charge you 200$ plus for a visit. Even after telling you it’s covered by insurance. Beware and go seek a legitimate service. These people are CROOKS
I am being charged AGAIN after I cancelled my meeting and haven’t used the app in a month. That is NEARLY $300 FOR 3 SHORT SESSIONS. Absolutely unreal. Have someone from your incompetent team reach out to me PLEASE because you are draining my accounts and I have half a mind to sue you false advertising and damages.
I worked with a Nourish nutritionist for a few months. As a neurodivergent woman of color, this just didn’t work for me. If anything, it made things worse. I have disordered eating due to my ADHD and also was recently diagnosed with PCOS. The nutritionist would not honor my request and desire to avoid certain foods, even though I mentioned noticing my body having an adverse affect. Susan said eating is better than no eating, but what’s the point of the food is literally making me feel terrible. When I told her that I was tight on budget as well because of all of my medical bills, and couldn’t afford to see her every week, she encouraged me to stay and instead seek free food from a food pantry, knowing very well that I have certain intolerances and preferences. I told her I needed the money that went towards 1 session for groceries and she didn’t allow me to honor it and showed clear disgruntle when I spoke back and said I stood firm in my decision. In other words, she put her need (to be paid) before my need to feed myself. She positions herself as inclusive, but she was so far removed and unaware of her privileges.If you are a BIPOC & you do choose to proceed with Nourish, be mindful of who you work with. If you are a BIPOC, seek community-centered resources. We don’t heal with the support of one (white woman), we heal with each other and with many who reflect all of our humanity.
Been getting this message every time I try to use the app. Got a new phone and it hasn’t changed. Pretty frustrating. Was advised by tech support to just use the website. Loved the dietitian though!!
My insurance cost was estimated to be $0 based on Nourish’s estimate prior to booking my first appointment. I went ahead with the appointment as I thought their policy was super comforting that you’ll pay nothing if insurance rejects the claim. Well, there’s a hidden gray area that if it comes back with a copay, then you will have to pay that despite the advertised $0 cost. I reached out to customer service about this and they wouldn’t budge. I personally don’t want to give my business to a company that misleads customers. It’s not a scam, but it’s shady. The one meeting with a dietician I had was okay. I got a little information out of it, but she wanted to take things much slower than I do, which was maybe in an effort to keep booking more appointments. I didn’t get the sense that this would help me with weight loss as much as the advertisements make it seem when the dietician didn’t want to focus on calories. I’ve cancelled all future appointments.
I had an appointment with one of the dietitians but something unexpected happened that day and I had to cancel early, around 7 am, my appointment was at noon. They charged me $75. They do say that but unfortunately I was not gonna be able to make it. Also, initially I had an appointment with another dietitian that could not help me and said she was gonna reach out to the community to find a dietitian that would be a better fit for my needs. Still haven’t heard back, it’s been 3 weeks.
I don’t like the app or the services. I have tried two different nutritionists but it has not been helpful at all. Either they just give you articles that nourish has already published or they make you count calories - for both I don’t need their help. I was late to my consultation once because I was working and I lost track of time and they charged 100% of the consultation fee. I understand that it is important to make sure you’re fair to your nutritionists but how is it fair to take 100% because even though I joined late I asked if we could continue in the remaining time and she was nowhere to be found, which means she wasn’t waiting for me or working for that matter, she took a break so why should I pay for that break? I deleted the app and never coming back to it ever again. Horrible experience. Wouldn’t recommend this at all, better just talk to your PCP and get a proper nutritionist. They provide a very half baked solution which is not helpful at all. WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!!
It seems like the tactic of Nourish is to pull you in acting like the service might be free, setup an appointment with you, claim that you should no what you will be charged shortly after. This charge claim did not come until 45 days after my first appointment after my dietitian and I have already met 3 different times. These bills were extremely late even though my insurance had processed them a few days after the appointment. They will not notify you in a timely manner if you will be charged a copay and you will be stuck paying for multiple appointments at a time.
