Thanks for a really nice product. So, I have an open source project and I had to find some solution to keep records, the documentation, and the project knowledge base. Confluence isn’t really suitable because of very small team. It seems like overhead. But this service is pretty convenient and has everything I need. I’m going to use this service for all my documentation and project knowledges. Generally, I like clustering, the way how I can put any data on pages, and of course, the workspaces graph which is great (reminds me neo4j web console with their bubble charts). I’m satisfied now. Let’s see how it will be in long relationships with the service :)
Nuclino is great if you have lots of complex information to organize and interlink. Currently I experience an issue when moving a page or collection; it basically decouples and becomes a float element disassociated from and unable to place in the list again. It persists until I restart the app. The suggestion I have is a toggle that allows the graph layout to include (maybe as a different color or dotted line) the in page links. This would be incredibly useful as it would show other axes of centrality and clusters of pages reflected in the hyperlinks. The links feature is what makes this better than OneNote for sorting files. personally I find OneNote’s section organization and indentation more intuitive. Nuclino requires new layers to convey taxonomy. That is cognitively expensive (more clicks through dedicated organizing elements). It would be worth considering allowing notes to be added to collections so you can give account of what a group means without forcing a subpage dedicated to that (which can push containers into the list; which is the tradeoff perhaps to Nuclino approach). Overall, I love and recommend this product.
For anyone who does not use Apple’s password, you cannot copy and paste into the login fields from another password manager. Makes it painful to use the app, if you can’t easily log in.
I have been testing this out as I am starting my game design journey. Previously I used OneNote which was great but I wanted something with better hierarchy support, file management and integrations. Nuclino does these things well. However, the app doesn’t have any drawing tools and It uses drawing tool integrations I’ve never heard of. I looked into these but when it comes down to quick sketches and ideas I’d like those to be easy and in one place, usable with my Apple Pencil. This would include pens pencils and simple shapes and colors, similar to most other note and planning apps. In addition, it isn’t really clear if there is a back function, bullets only support one level, and some of the stuff in the interface is tiny, specifically on phones. Also the app integration picker is broken on phones and only shows a tiny box to choose the apps.
Nuclino is well worth the money and provides a new way of think about information storage. The app needs updating as the last one is nearly a year ago. iOS 15 has since released and the app still lacks some features from the full site and other QoL updates. I think it’s still very stable and polished from what I can tell.
The app does not look like the sample images. There will be a black bars at the top and at the bottom. Otherwise nice but dishonest and poorly designed/implemented.
ZERO BUG using on mobile web browser! It beat Google Drive and Notion for me. The smoothest UX I’ve had in a long time in my workflow. It’s minimal, all the organizer buttons on the left column is right where they need to be. I love everything about it. If there are more ways I can support this app I will!
I was initially looking for an alternative to Google Docs because in my opinion, the Google Docs layout is pretty bland and I just don’t like it. This app/website has some very lovely aesthetics, and I’m really enjoying how clean it feels. I know I’m not really taking advantage of the “team” aspect of the app (since I’m using it for notes and writing), but so far, I’ve been very pleased! Cool app :)
As my partners and I were starting our new company, we were looking for the right tool for our needs. We stumbled across Nuclino. It has all of the essential features we needed in what feels like a near perfect design. The experience we have had using the mobile app is phenomenal. We are able to easily create well structured documents to illustrate our thoughts effortlessly! I have to thank the team at Nuclino for all of the hard work and design that went into such a great mobile experience! I look forward to seeing more!
