You can mark harbours, anchorages and navigation warnings on the digital nautical chart and also add pictures of interesting places that go beyond navigation, such as restaurants or popular attractions, and share them with the community. Others can respond directly with comments. The continuously edited content can be downloaded directly to be available offline. To make all the information easily accessible, the app offers a search function. You can explore the surroundings and search directly for place names as well as anchorages, harbours, ramps, waypoints, cranes, fuel stations or tide stations. The app also offers fast and flexible auto-routing, allowing you to navigate directly to your destination and edit a route manually.
Navigation on board is even more fun together! You can share your tracks with friends or use the data outside the app and export it as a GPX file. You can easily share your favourite harbours and anchorages from the app via a link and coordinate your trip planning even better with everyone.
The AIS function in the NV Charts App allows you to keep an eye on AIS signals in real time. A WiFi AIS receiver can be connected to the NV Charts App for this purpose. The AIS Class A and B targets and aids to navigation (ATON), as well as MOB AIS SART transponder emergency transmitters, are displayed, and the traffic situation can be better assessed.
The NV Charts App can be installed and synchronized on multiple devices.

Rip off
Paid $49 for chart access… that gives you a time limit of 60 minutes per day.
I have older US East Coast Charts - NV updates don’t appear to exist
Did NV abandon the US East Coast? I see Florida and passages (16.1) but what about the others (3.1 and 3.1 for example)? I would hate to switch to another manufacturer. NV has a solid product.
Great companion to the paper charts
I’ve used the app crossing from the Netherlands to England as a companion to the paper charts. It integrated easily with the boat network to show AIS data and is quick to reference in the middle of the night. A really positive surprise was that when planning at home, the online charts are all available so you’re not limited to those you purchased to look at different areas. The synchronization between laptop, phone and iPad works but sometimes has to be triggered manually so the routes and tracks are all up to date. Why not 5 stars? The function I miss is importing and exporting gpx to get the route to the boat instruments and importing tracks from them as the app isn’t running all the time. All in all an excellent combination.
Doesn’t work
Loaded this app. Signed up. Loaded charts. Nothing no charts. Ten emails later ! Nothing. I give up. Delete.
Poor performance
The app loads but the charts doesn't after purchasing a few that's needed.

Works well, fast map display, easy to use. A must have for every boat owner

Can't get it to work keeps saying check my Internet connection but I'm online and have cell service
