Old School RuneScape

I don’t think there is another game like this. Been playing since original RuneScape. Stopping now for a bit, as focusing on my studies and work, but will be back! Hope to back upon Sailing release! Thanks for keeping the game alive!

The developers don’t know what they’re doing - they are lacking clear direction. Pieces of content are only released in batches (months or sometimes years apart), leaving much of the game in a perpetual state of being unfinished. Projects are rushed and are consistently released with half a dozen or more bugs, many of which are quoted as being “low priority, due to new content releases being high priority”. Jagex financial reports list there being 1 manager for every 4 staff… yes, 1:4. The company has severe management bloat which explains the state of the game; the developers are being pulled in too many different directions and are working toward unrealistic deadlines on multiple different updates. This is why content is released in parts and is almost always broken on release. Questlines remain unfinished for years (some since 2007!), new continents take years to release, and players are unhappy as a result.

Played this game for about 5 years, recently got my account hacked and everything gone. This company have a “that sounds like a you problem” policy were they refuse to help in these situations (they have rolled back games and restored items before but only if you’re a streamer it seems) I wouldn’t bother getting into this game, save yourself the time and eventual disappointment of everything you worked hard for being taken from you, they’ll always find a way. Google Jagex support and you’ll find for yourself they refuse to help anyone, this game takes thousands of hours to grind and so much dedication but they refuse to help there most loyal players. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs.

Hey, I’ve been playing osrs mobile for almost a year now and I think it is great. Very simple. Some things even being better than on pc. The thing pc has over mobile tho is runelite. Main thing being the quest helper. Find myself always having to go onto pc to do quests to use the helper. I wondered why not add a quest helper sort of thing to mobile? Maybe make it an option for the players that only play mobile. Since switching between tabs on mobile is quite fiddly. Adding the quest helper would make quality of life better I think. Would get those extra players that aren’t playing due to being set back by quests. I would definitely play a lot more if this was added. Something along these lines would be great for the community. Could just add runelite to phone :)

Terrible game, don’t bother wasting your time, the security’s so bad you’ll be inactive for a while and a botter will get access to your account and use it to bot to make cash, your account will be banned and you’ll never get it back and you’ll be lucky to actually have a person deal with your ordeal.

Started in 06 played consistently. As the game has come to mobile and used new security the game in certain formats is now unplayable. On mobile the app will constantly ask the ‘are you a robot question’ but then failes every time. This has never been an issue until 2020 and the forums highlight this is an unresolved issue for over a year. Leaving many people like myself unable to play mobile. Very disappointing from Jagex as their launchers have been bullet proof until they released the new authentication.

Great app and great game, works very well all round and well put together. Only issue is the mobile speech. Typing a message is a nightmare as it overwrites, deletes and makes shortcuts on its own. Impossible to talk.

Over the last 2 days I have been having a problem where osrs mobile has been lagging non stop for like 15 secs even whilst doing the most easiest tasks like fishing, etc this is getting really annoying because now its starting to lag in harder content which is frustrating. Since I started osrs mobile this has never happened it’s doing this on both my devices. Please is there a way to fix this, because the game is unplayable atm.

Hi the game as a overall is fantastic no argument there but when i try type in the chat to other players around me it keeps deleting my text and sometimes not putting the word I’m typing to fix it turn off predictive text your welcome

Everytime I mine something my game crashes.
