It’s a bit stupid that if I need to change my riding mode or check the battery and there is an update I can’t use the app at all Edit: Writing a second review. This still happen for firmware updates. Plus the firmware update warns that it might make the board unusable. And still Im forced to do it and cannot use the app.. I’m going VESC..

Like most Onewheel users I love the device and dislike the company. The app is trying to force me to update my board and probably brick it in the process. This is my DAMN board, I paid you two and a half thousand pounds for it so how dare you try and force my to put it in harms way by updating it with your half baked update. I’m so sick of you guys. Bring on the FloatWheel.

Cannot get that app to work I’ve tried updating iOS & latest version of the app but won’t full load up unable to touch anything on the screen

Future motion are forcing an update and if you don’t update the app is no longer able to be used. So completely useless.

App works. Shame FM are a bunch of clowns that could easily make 1000x more money if they stopped shafting the community

Generally this app is great, but the segments seems buggy. I have created multiple segments which I know other users have ridden (with public rides) and they don’t appear on the segment leaderboard. Looking forward to the segments being fixed in the next update!

This company currently has a 1.7 star rating on trustpilot with a trustpilot assessment of “bad” I’ve always wanted a one wheel of my own as they’re so much fun to ride. I will never purchase one though as the company hates their customers and employs incredibly anti consumer practices. The over thousand dollar toy will brick itself if you so much as unplug the battery. The only way to fix it after future motion has BRICKED your over 1000 dollar toy is to ship this big heavy thing all the way directly to them as they only have one service centre. Never mind what you’ll pay for shipping both ways or the time you won’t have access to what you payed for… because future motion hates you for giving them money. ALL batteries, are consumables. The battery needs replacement at one point. NOTE, it’s not even that they won’t let you plug in a battery that isn’t theirs. If you unplug your battery and plug it back in, your device is now dead forever unless you send it back to them. Would a company that cares at all for their customers ever even think of doing such a thing ? It gets worse 😂🤓🤓🤓 The motors are now serialised. You cannot replace a basic component of your 2200 dollar toy because future motion hates you. Just consider for yourself if you’d like to give 2200 dollars to a company that treats their customers like this. I genuinely hope some Chinese company clones this product completely so I can enjoy the experience of riding a one wheel and not have to worry about giving money to a dishonest and terrible company.

Dont update or it will crash

Works well enough, the vanity stats are pretty cool. The widget has such potential but needs a lot of love.

App keeps crashing when looking on other riders
