Departures Live is the new app from INIT that allows you to get real-time information on your stops right from your smart phone.
From the app, you can select your stop from a map view, a list of all stops, or simply from your bookmarks. Departures Live gives you up to the minute information on your next departures. You can also request and view alternate stops located nearby.
Departures Live also offers an Augmented Reality feature through your iPhone's camera. This gives you the ability to see which stops are closest to you, as well as the distance to each of the next stops. Also included is a pedestrian navigation feature that takes you directly to your stop with just one additional touch.
The new app features
Detection of nearby stops
The closest stops are shown in a list. Once a stop is selected you can see all upcoming departures at that particular stop.
Display of the next departures
If you chose a stop, you see all upcoming departures at this stop.
Map view
The map display shows your current position as well as all stops close by. Clicking on a stop provides its departures in real-time.
Journey planner
Use the app to plan your next journey, even with changes in between. You can plan for today or for the next days!
List of stops
The stop list shows the closest stops. Alternatively, you can access all stops in the public transportation system from here.
List of favorites
You can add individual stops to your list of favorites by pressing the star-button.
Augmented Reality
By using your iPhone's camera you can easily figure out which stops are close by as well as the distance to each of the next stops. The radar field in the lower right corner shows all nearby stops displayed as bullets.
Pedestrian navigation
The pedestrian navigation takes you directly to your selected stop.
Journey course
By choosing a journey you have access to the journey course with previous and future stops including departures. The map display also shows route of the vehicle.
Widget
Use the widget to see the next departures at the nearest or the nearest favorite stop without opening the app.
Perturbations alerts
In the departures display you can see if there are any perturbation alerts for next departures. You are able to select the perturbation alert to get more information.
