Our Expenses: Household Budget

I like this app a lot and, I just wish there were default categories for all split types (100:0, 0:100, 50:50).

Simple and unique. It does all you need and nothing less than you expect.

No updates in the last 2 years. Future uncertain. Not optimized for iOS 18.

I used this app with my partner for years before we got married. As an iOS dev I applaud the simplicity and beauty of this app. It’s smooth, works consistently, and supports many iOS native features! Well done!

After testing a heap of apps over the past year I’ve found that Expenses is the ONLY app that allows couples to enter expenses from their own phones (and their own Apple accounts) and shows them all in one panel. The app is simple, clean, fast and I like that we can set budgets (limits) to any category and see how close we are to going over. Another decent app is Monefy, but it’s sync features never worked for us and it required using a third party like Dropbox to sync data. Other apps sync via iCloud which keeps couples from sharing data. Expenses is great in that it handles all the data transfer for us, keeping our phones up to date with all our expenses. A+

Sadly, I sent it to my husband to learn that it is not supported on Android phone.

Love the app, it’s great and simple for couples but my only issue is that she has an android phone and doesn’t want to give it up for this app. Is there no android app in development for couple when one (or both) of them do not have an iPhone??

It’s a great app but it would be good to have an option to filter the entries based category.
