OWLR IP Camera Viewer

I have multiple standard IP cameras. But this app failed to discover them automatically on my Wi-Fi network. Strange, all of them have open RTSP port and I have no firewall. I tried adding them manually. I enter IP and RTSP port (554), the app failed to connect without even asking for password. I have tried entering IP address at first but also tried full RTSP URL (like rtsp://192.168.1.101/1, with and without rtsp://). Does not work either. If I try 80 port it asks for username and password but then fails anyway. Makes sense since video stream in most IP cameras is on 554 port.

After getting the newer modem (Gateway) from Shaw I can no longer view remotely through my cell phone unless I am within range of the modem. I can also not access the memory card on the camera. XMEye is a much better app which allows all of the functions above and more.

This app keeps on asking for location information after I denied it. First Of all you don’t need my location in order to connect to my IP camera on the same network. Your website says you don’t send user information to your server. Hehe. After I denied access, the app just keeps on popping up to annoy user. This makes me question the intent. Do you know who else does this? A lot of Chinese apps that spies on people. If you are a good hearted company, stop keeping on asking for this after user clearly tells you NO.
