No reaction from support, even when I paid full year subscription.

I was hoping for this to be Bitwarden but better. Not having a web (browser) version would be a step towards that end as it reduces the security of client side encryption to that of the server hosting the JavaScript. But sadly padloc has a web version, like most other popular options. The app, while nice looking, is made using web technologies as opposed to being a native app. No different to other popular password managers in that regard either. Behind the scenes, it uses AES, RSA, PBKDF which is fine, but dated and definitely not cutting edge by today’s standards. There’s no scrypt or argon password derivation, no elliptic curve crypto or one of the new post quantum ciphers. Nothing particularly interesting to speak of. Finally, 2FA is a paid feature. That’s a weird way to incentivise upgrading. I would’ve opted to either not offer a free version at all or include 2FA in the free version but 2FA isn’t exactly a nice-to-have for something you literally put all your secrets in. Overal I don’t find anything in padloc that sets it apart from its competition. If you’re considering it, stick with the established options. If you’re looking for something different and mostly use Apple devices (but not exclusively), have a look at “Secrets” from outercorner which does have native apps that sync through iCloud Keychain and share passwords selectively to browser extensions on other (non-apple) devices that you trust or not (not all passwords are synced to the extension, but requested securely when needed from the native app on your iphone/mac instead)

its ok, but the screen is small. and needs autofill / safari extension. also, the vault doesn't lock automatically after 1 minute. i think there should be an option for instant lock after app close? and or require to state how many minutes or the behavior to initiate password instead of Touch ID?

Crashes when you go to add item > my vault to select vault. It gets stuck and you have to force quit

I don’t get why these apps have a mystery around pricing!?! The free version allows 50 entries. Then is $3/month subscription. Yup, it’s expensive. And why do I have to install and register to find this fact. Really lame.

This is a great app and password service and has just about all the features I need especially a family vault / sharing. However the biggest missing feature is auto fill with the iOS app. Add that and I’ll pay for the service. Thanks!!

Enjoy the biometric unlock option. Would like to see padloc do native password auto filling (like Firefox Lockwise does, for example).

First review: 12-29-19 No support so far from developer and no visible method to import data from older app PadLOCK. Update: 12-29-19 Finally figured it out how to import data. A little clunky with updating data etc. No real support on their web site, how to etc! Developer needs to improve app guide and respond! Update: 12-30-19 Developer finally responded and agreed app guide does not exist for cell phones only for migration. Working with developer on feedback via email. Hopefully developer can create a cell phone migration that doesn’t require a computer.
